(Clearwisdom.net)Ms. Liu Jin from the Fengxian District in Shanghai has been arrested again. Before this, she had served an unjust four-year prison term. On the afternoon of November 25, she was arrested at her home by police officers from the Fengxian District Police Department. Her home was also ransacked by policemen from the Fengxian National Security Brigade and Haiwan Police Station. The police arrived in two official cars and confiscated 20,000 yuan, a computer, a printer, identification cards, and the family's bank cards. They even took Ms. Liu's electric motor vehicle. Several bystanders said that the policemen were clearly operating outside of the law. Ms. Liu is now in the Fengxian District Detention Center.
Liu Jin and her husband, Mr. Zhang Zhanjie, are in their early 40s. Both of them used to work for Shanghai Normal University. Mr. Zhang received his Master's degree from the university and was hired by the university as a teacher. Ms. Liu used to work in the university library. They both practice Falun Gong and follow its principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" in their work and life. They were very nice to people and were two outstanding professionals.
After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Jiang Zemin started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Liu Jin and Zhang Zhanjie refused to give up their belief in the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" and began to tell people the facts about Falun Gong. Under orders from the Shanghai 610 Office, policemen from the Fengxian District Police Department arrested the couple. The Fengxian District Procuratorate and court illegally sentenced Mr. Zhang to four and a half years and Ms. Liu to four years of imprisonment. Mr. Zhang was taken to Shanghai Tilanqiao Prison, where guards put him and death row inmates in the same cell in order to try to force him to give up his belief. Ms. Liu was taken to Shanghai Women's Prison. Since she didn't give up her belief in Falun Gong, they mistreated her in various ways, including putting her in solitary confinement, verbally abusing and humiliating her, threatening her, subjecting her to brainwashing attempts, and force-feeding her. Their daughter, then only 11 years old, lived by herself in Shanghai. Later, the authorities sent her to Mr. Zhang's hometown in Shandong Province.
After years of torment in prison, Ms. Liu and Mr. Zhang were finally released in late 2004 and early 2005. Officials of the Shanghai Normal University were afraid of the 610 Office and did not dare to give the couple their jobs back. Other companies and organizations were also afraid of police harassment and rejected the couple's job applications. Mr. Zhang had to go to Beijing to work. Ms. Liu had to take odd jobs in restaurants and laundries. The couple had to live thousands of miles away from each other, which made it difficult to take care of their daughter. Even when they were living like this, people from the Fengxian District 610 Office, policemen from the National Security Brigade and Fengxin Police Station still did not let them live in peace and continued to harass them. They followed the two when they went out; they even went to their home to monitor and question them.
This year Ms. Liu and Mr. Zhang's daughter is preparing for the college entrance examination, so this is a crucial year for her. Liu Jin talked to some people about Falun Gong, telling them the facts that the CCP had been hiding from them. As a result, she was arrested again and therefre she couldn't take care of her daughter. Mr. Zhang, who was in Beijing trying to earn some tuition money for their daughter, had to resign from his job and return to Shanghai. His elderly parents, who are in poor health, also came to Shanghai to help out. The whole family has suffered a big blow.
We urge all kindhearted people to please pay attention to this family's difficulties and help them break away from the CCP's persecution.

In November 2007, Eight Practitioners Are Verified to Have Died as a Result of Persecution and Torture
(Clearwisdom.net) In November 2007, eight Chinese practitioners were verified to have died as a result of persecution and torture in November 2007. According to initial statistics from the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, from January to November 2007, at least 101 practitioners died as a result of the persecution. Since July 20, 1999, the day the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Gong, at least 3,109 practitioners have died. Information about these persecution deaths has bypassed the media blockade in China, and has been verified through unofficial channels. This article elaborates on four of the deaths reported upon in an earlier FDI release. (http://www.faluninfo.net/displayAnArticle.asp?ID=9512)
The Persecution Continues, Whereabouts of Many Practitioners Unknown
The former Public Security Minister and the current Party Secretary of the Political and Judicial Committee, Zhou Yongkang, initiated a new round of persecution against Falun Gong. As a result, the Chinese Communist Party arrested more Falun Gong practitioners. The 610 Office, the police, and National Security officials refused to tell their families the whereabouts of the arrested practitioners. They even denied the arrests altogether. For example, on May 9, 2007, there was another large scale arrest after the "305" TV signals were intercepted in 2002. Most of the practitioners were sentenced to forced labor. Practitioner Ms. Wang Yuhuan's family only discovered her whereabouts 15 days after her death. Those responsible still remain at large. The whereabouts of the senior coach of the National Ice Hockey Team, a practitioner named Mr. Gao Weixi, who had contributed a great deal to the development of ice hockey in China, along with several other practitioners, are still unknown. A senior engineer and practitioner, Mr. Jiang Zonglin, from the Chengdu Construction Information, was arrested on August 2, 2007, and his whereabouts are still unknown.
There is concern about the situations of these missing practitioners. The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) published an investigation of the Beijing Garrison Hospital, the Jinzhou Hospital in Liaoning Province, and the Guangxi Nationality Hospital. The investigation clearly indicated that the CCP is still continuing to harvest organs from practitioners while they are still alive.
Twenty-six-year-old Song Changguang Tortured to Death
Of the seven practitioners who died as result of persecution in November 2007, the youngest was Mr. Song Changguang, an outstanding student from the Communication Faculty of the Changchun Post and Telecommunication Institute. Because he openly said that he was a Falun Dafa practitioner, no company dared to employ him. Later, when he went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Dafa in accordance with the law, he was arrested. He was "illegally detained" at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun and suffered inhuman torture. A healthy and robust young man who was 1.8 meters tall became a mere skeleton as a result of torture. His joints protruded and he was basically skin and bones. His lower body developed festering sores. Even when he was in such terrible condition, the police still shocked Mr. Song with 35,000-volt electric batons and used other methods of torture on him. Mr. Song Changguang died on November 12, 2003, at the age of 26.
The Persecution and Death of Mr. Qi Tingsong; His Family's Appeal Has Been Stalled
Mr. Qi Tingsong, 67 years old, was a retired teacher from the Ezhuang Coal Mine, Xinwen Mining Bureau in Shandong Province. He was arrested on October 15, 2007, while he was clarifying the truth in Gouli Village, Gaozhuang Township, Laiwu City. He was taken to the Laiwu Detention Center. Mr. Qi died only a little more than three weeks after his arrival at the detention center.
Yang Leping, Head of the Security Section of the Ezhuang Coal Mine, collaborated with Liu Qing, a policeman from Laiwu, and several officials from the local 610 Office. They sent Mr. Qi to a forced labor camp, where he went on a hunger strike to protest his illegal detention. Chen Fa, the head of the Laiwu Detention Center, ordered a group of guards to carry out barbaric force-feeding. Mr. Qi's esophagus bled and festered because of repeated force-feedings. His internal organs were seriously injured as a result of the kicks that were inflicted upon him. He was sent to Laiwu Hospital as he was dying. A medical exam showed that Mr. Qi Tingsong was suffering from severe internal injuries, including organ failure and an upper digestive tract hemorrhage. He was sent to Laiwu City Hospital during the night of November 5 at around 3:10 a.m. The following day, the hospital issued a "Notice of Critical Illness."
In the morning of November 6, Yang Leping, Head of the Security Section of Ezhuang Coal Mine, and a group of people from the police station, the Procuratorate, and the court met at the Liangpo Police Station. In order to cover-up the true cause of Mr. Qi's death, they decided among themselves to spread the story that Mr. Qi had "committed suicide to escape punishment" and he was further accused of "using an illegal organization to sabotage implementation of the law." Mr. Qi Tingsong passed away at the Central Hospital of the Xinwen Mining Bureau the morning of November 11, 2007.
When Mr. Qi was in a coma, he had blood in his stool and also vomited blood due to his serious internal injuries. However, even when Mr. Qi was dying, Liu Qing, a policeman from the Laicheng District Police Sub-department; Chen Fayong, a prison guard of the Laiwu Detention Center; Yang Leping, the head of the Security Section of Ezhuang Coal Mine, and a person surnamed Xie, who was from the Laiwu Procuratorate, refused to pay Mr. Qi's medical fees and forced the hospital to stop treatment. At the same time, they deceived Mr. Qi's family into signing a document that would confirm that Mr. Qi had been released from detention. This way, Mr. Qi's death would have nothing to do with them.
After Mr. Qi's death, his grieving family went to the relevant departments every day to appeal on their deceased family member's behalf. No one would accept their appeal. The officials from the Laiwu City Procuratorate said that they would only accept or hear the case if they were able to present a conclusion that was provided by the police department. The officials from the Laiwu Police Department said they would not provide any conclusion as to the real cause of death. They told the family that if they were to provide a conclusion, it would be that Mr. Qi "committed suicide to escape punishment" and they told Mr. Qi's family that it was no use for them to appeal. The related officials even threatened Mr. Qi's family through their relatives and neighbors so that they would stop appealing. They said, "Wait until the Olympics are over."
Mr. Qi's wife is not in good health and is very weak. His elder son works at the Ezhuang Coal Mine and his second son is paralyzed and confined to bed. In order to stop Mr. Qi's elder son from appealing, the coal mine would not allow him to take any time off and forced him to work every day. If he failed to go to work, he would be fired. (According to a government policy, if a parent, a spouse, or a child dies, direct family members are entitled to 15 days leave for the funeral.)
Ms. Chen Guilian Died Due to Poisoning from Drugs Administered in Baimalong Labor Camp, Hunan Province
Fifty-seven-year-old Ms. Chen Guilian was a retired employee of the Jiangbin Machinery Factory located in Xiangtan City, Hunan Province. On April 26, 2007, she was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials at the Jindu Market in Zhuzhou City. She was taken by market security guards to the National Security Division of the Lusong Police Sub-department. A person surnamed Yang, a person surnamed Li, and the driver from the Zhuzhou City Police Department then brutally questioned Ms. Chen.
Ms. Chen was sentenced to one year of forced labor. She was taken by 610 Office agents to Baimalong Labor Camp around May 2007. From the time she arrived, she was force-fed unknown drugs for more than three months. Drug-addicted prisoners forced drugs into her mouth and it is still unknown what drug she was given.
On August 17, 2007, Ms. Chen's family had her released on bail for medical treatment. After returning home, she said that she had from a stomachache. On September 3, 2007, she was admitted to Xiangtan City Central Hospital. Her family spent more than 100,000 yuan on hospital fees. Doctors said there was too much fluid in her abdomen and that there were toxins in her blood, so they performed an operation to filter her blood. The doctor said that the operation only took two hours. However, her spleen was badly damaged and there was still too much abdominal fluid. Ms. Chen Guilian died at 9:51 p.m. on September 26, 2007 at the age of 57. Only 150 days passed between the time she was arrested to the day that she died, just 15 days after she returned home.
Some eyewitnesses have revealed that the torture methods used in Baimalong Labor Camp are inhuman, such as injections of nerve-damaging drugs, hanging people by their handcuffs from a window frame, brutal force-feedings, forcing practitioners to stand on the legs of an upside-down wooden stool, etc. Under extreme mental pressure and physical torture, some practitioners have apparently suffered mental breakdown. The current deputy director, Zhao Guibao, as well as Lu Yongquan, the clinic chief, and his wife, who are both doctors, gained promotions for participating in the cruel persecution of many practitioners. They were involved in torturing, forced-feedings, and injecting anesthetics, and are directly responsible for all the incidents of brutality at the forced labor camp.
Mr. Long Lianzheng Died As a Result of Persecution
Mr. Long Lianzheng, 70, lived in Yantai City, Shandong Province. He was a retired engineer who was employed by the Xingfu Construction Company in the Zhigang District. He used to have heart disease, high blood pressure, bronchitis, and other ailments. He was not active and could not even go downstairs. He also passed out often. After Mr. Long started to practice Falun Gong in March 1996, all of his ailments disappeared. He felt very light and was even able to carry a big bag of flour up to the fifth floor. His neighbors all said that he was a changed person.
Mr. Long continued to practice Falun Gong after the Chinese Communist Party started the persecution on July 20, 1999. He went to Beijing to clarify the truth but was illegally arrested and detained. Mr. Long was put under strict surveillance many times thereafter. In January 2000, after being detained for one month in Nanjiao Detention Center, CCP officials attempted to take him to the Laiyang City Mental Hospital for intensified persecution, but their plan was abandoned after his children strongly protested .
On the morning of February 24, 2001, five or six police officers from Lijiaoqiao Station tried and failed to open Mr. Long's door with a master key, so they rammed his door with a big metal beam. They smashed his metal security gate and his front door. Then they rammed a large hole through his wall and forcibly took Mr. Long to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City. He was subjected to brainwashing sessions while he was there and was then forced to go through another brainwashing session in Yantai City after coming back from Wangcun Labor Camp.
In June 2001, Mr. Long was sentenced to three years of forced labor and taken to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp again. He was tortured by brutal force-feedings and several of his teeth were knocked out as a result. Various other means of torture were inflicted upon him, including the "Dead Person's Bed." After six months in the labor camp, Mr. Long was diagnosed with bone cancer, and he was released on bail for medical treatment.
On April 25, 2002, the police opened the door to Mr. Long's home with a master key and took Mr. Long to another forced brainwashing session in the Sixteenth Xingfu Village in Yantai City.
In April 2007, the CCP officials used tricks and deception to open his door again. They stole printers and other items from his home. Right before the 17th CCP Conference, these officials went into Mr. Long's home twice to harass him.
The repeated break-ins, torture, threats and harassment caused huge damage to Mr. Long's mental and physical health. His old sicknesses recurred, and he died on November 2, 2007.

Education System Officials in Jianyang City, Sichuan Province Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners
(Clearwisdom.net)
Officials in the Jianyang City Education System have cruelly persecuted Falun Gong practitioners.
On November 17, 2007, officials at the Education Bureau once again colluded with the 610 Office and issued "Document No. 37 issued by Jianyang Education Bureau CCP Committee (2007)." The main point of the document is to coerce the teachers and students in Jianyang City to study materials made by the Central 610 Office defaming Falun Gong.
After this document was issued, education bureau officials and those from the 610 Office went looking for Falun Gong practitioners to try to force them to write the Three Statements. Many practitioners were repeatedly harassed.
Mr. Zhang Chenliang is a 50-year-old elementary school teacher who is well respected by his students and colleagues. Railway policemen arrested him in 2005 for practicing Falun Gong and carrying Falun Gong materials. Mr. Zhang has been relentlessly harassed and persecuted for the past two years.
Recently, education bureau officials colluding with officials from the 610 Office paid Mr. Zhang Chengliang a visit and tried to force him to write the "Three Statements" to renounce Falun Gong. Moreover, they demanded that he slander Falun Gong in the school's teachers and faculty conference. When Mr. Zhang refused, he was sent to a brainwashing center.

Liu Renling and Her Family Are Persecuted in Yantai City
(Clearwisdom.net)
Ms. Liu Renling was an employee at Muping Fabric Factory in Shandong Province and had a happy family. Since the Chinese Communist Party began to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, more than a dozen practitioners at Muping Fabric Factory have been dismissed or sent to forced labor camps. Among those persecuted were Ms. Liu Renling and her family.
In July 1999, she and other practitioners went to the Yantai City government to appeal for and clarify the truth about Falun Gong. However, they were detained by Lin Aiguo, Yu Xiang, Xue Chen, and other staff from the Security Department of the factory. There were eight practitioners altogether detained in the Security Department in the day and in the factory's clinic at night for eight days.
In October of the same year, with the excuse of stopping the practitioners from going to the government to appeal, the factory sent Security Department staff to arrest the eight practitioners again when they were at work, and detained them for about half a month. During both illegal arrests, the factory recorded the practitioners as missing work and docked their pay accordingly.
In October 2000, when Ms. Liu and other practitioners from the factory went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong, they were arrested and taken to Dayao Police Station in their hometown. Wang Ling, the director, and policeman Xu Changjiang beat them brutally. Then they tied Liu Renling, Zhou Lisha, Qin Shu'e, Qu Xiuli, and Yu Xiuhua to telephone poles on the street to humiliate them. The practitioners were detained in the detention center for a month. When they were released, they had 2,750 yuan extorted from them and were dismissed by the factory. Liu Renling had no job from then on.
On July 26, 2007, Lin Aiguo from the Security Department of the fabric factory and Zhang Shubo and He Zhongren from the Political Security Department of the Muping District broke into Ms. Liu Renling's home and arrested her. She was sentenced to two years of forced labor and taken to Wangcun Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City. In order to try to force her to give up her belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," the labor camp subjected her to sleep deprivation for several days and nights in a row.
On the evening of September 1, 2004, policemen from the State Security Group of the Muping District and the Dayao Police station arrested six students at the Dayao High School, all of whom were children of practitioners from the fabric factory. Among them there was Wang Limei, daughter of Ms. Liu Renling. The police forced the children to write statements to renounce Falun Gong and made them leave their fingerprints on the statements. When the children tried to ask for help from the school principal, the principal didn't know what to do and said, "It is not wrong to teach people to be good by following 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance,' but the government doesn't allow it. I have no choice."
The following afternoon, the children's mothers--Ms. Liu Renling, Ms. Jiao Lixiang, and Ms. Sun Houyun--were also arrested at home. Ms. Liu had just been released from the forced labor camp a year before. Yang Yinghai, Zhu Jianguo, Liu Xinwei, Wang Lin, and Hu Fengrui from the State Security Group detained them at the Mupin Detention Center, and tried to force them to write statements renouncing Falun Gong. Ms. Liu and Ms. Jiao went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The doctor at the detention center, Zhang Sheng, tried to force Ms. Liu to take some medication, but she refused. Zhang Sheng arranged eight or nine male inmates to hold her arms and legs, covered her nose with a towel, opened her mouth by prying her teeth apart, and poured medicine down her throat. On the eighth day of their hunger strike, Ms. Liu and Ms. Jiao were taken to the detention center's clinic to be force fed with food and medicine. This kind of force feeding has happened once every other day since then.
Wang Dongmei, a doctor at the detention center's clinic, was particularly cruel to the practitioners. On the twelfth day of Liu Renling's hunger strike, several male inmates were taken into her cell by Wang Dongmei to hold her head, arms, and legs, so that Wang Dongmei could inject her with unknown drugs. When Ms. Jiao was on the fifteenth day of her hunger strike, she started twitching. The detention center authorites extorted 2,000 yuan from each family to release the two women temporarily. About three weeks later, the State Security Group went to their homes to arrest them. They missed Liu Renling because she happened to be out, but Jiao Cuiguo was arrested and sentenced to three years of forced labor. Ms. Liu Renling was forced into a homeless situation to avoid further persecution.
On October 15, 2006, Ms. Liu was arrested by Chief Han Tao and police officers Song Xiaoni and Jiang Yelin from Binhai Road Police Station in Laishan, Yantai City. She was detained in Laiyang Detention Center. The police tortured her to try to make her give up her belief. According to a witness, she was hung up and beaten for three days and nights. On March 23, 2007, the Laishan Branch Court of Yantai City Court sentenced Liu Renling to nine years of imprisonment in an illegal trial. During the trial, Ms. Liu looked weak and skinny, said a witness. On April 23, 2007, she was admitted to Jinan Prison.
After Ms. Liu was sent to prison, her husband Tao Yuan had to leave the country to work. Their only daughter, Wang Limei, who was a teenage student, was left behind. She had to stop going to school and moved in with her grandmother in the countryside.
A happy family was thus torn apart by the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.
More About the Persecution of Music Teacher Ms. Li Zhi, Who Met an Untimely Death at the Age of 31
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Li Zhi was a music teacher at the Wujiashan Fourth Middle School in Dongxihu District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. She used to have a lung disease, but after she started practicing Falun Dafa in March 1999, her disease disappeared, and she benefited tremendously in other ways too. When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999, her school leaders demanded she write a guarantee statement that she would stop practicing Falun Dafa. Under enormous pressure, Ms. Li Zhi wrote the statement. Later, she very much regretted doing so and went to Beijing to appeal to the central government for justice for Falun Dafa.
In June 2000, Ms. Li Zhi went to Beijing and was arrested at Tiananmen Square. She was taken back to the Wuhan City Number One Detention Center. There, she was detained for fifteen days before being taken to a brainwashing center at the Dongxihu Police Academy.
At the brainwashing center, Ms. Li was completely restricted and monitored. She was put in a small room with a dozen other practitioners and watched by an "assistant educator" all the time. All eating, drinking, washing and even going to bathroom were conducted in the room. They were not allowed to do the Falun Dafa exercises. They were forced to watch videotapes slandering Falun Dafa and to write reports denouncing the practice every day. Each of them was charged fifteen yuan per day.
Ms. Li Zhi was beaten by her husband and the "assistant educator" many times. She signed the guarantee statement again because she could no longer withstand her husband's beatings.
The following people participated in the persecution at the brainwashing center: Xiao Guoqiang, Judge of the Dongxihu District Court; Lin Zhengxing, former Director of the 610 Office (now the Director of the Dongxihu District Human Resources Bureau); Zhang Changfa and others.
At home, Ms. Li was monitored by CCP agents around the clock. Police called her home frequently and her school stopped paying her salary. In December 2000, the principal of the Fourth Middle School colluded with members of the Dongxihu District Political and Legal Committee and the 610 Office, who then arrested her. Ms. Li Zhi was again taken to the Police Academy brainwashing center.
Due to long periods of physical and mental torture, Ms. Li Zhi started to vomit blood, and her health deteriorated drastically. She was then released. Lin Zhengxing, director of the district 610 Office; Li Deng Chun, a supervisor of the brainwashing division; and Huang Yanfei, head of the discipline inspection group of the district finance bureau, all participated in the torture.
Ms. Li's husband had been pressured and deceived by the CCP. He often beat her. Sometimes she was beaten until she tried to protect herself by curling up in the fetal position on the floor. He beat her so hard with the leg of a stool that he broke it. Having lived under fear and torture for so long, Ms. Li Zhi's health continued to deteriorate. She vomited blood more and more frequently. In the summer of 2002, Ms. Li Zhi passed away in a hospital, at the age of 31.
Below is a link to an earlier article first reporting the persecution of Ms. Li Zhi. Since, many more details have become known.

Chen Yujiang Has Been Persecuted to the Verge of Death
(Clearwisdom.net) Chen Yujiang is detained at the Xinjiang No. 5 Jail and has developed tuberculosis of the lungs since his imprisonment. His life is in danger.
Chen Yujiang, 27 years old, is a salesperson for the Urumchi Company. Since July 20, 1999 Chen has used various means to clarify the truth to people. Once, when he was posting banners he was arrested and sent to a detention center. On December 1, 2004 he was sent to Xinjiang No. 5 Jail, No.7 Area.
Chen Yujiang clarified the truth to the guards and began a hunger strike. On December 6 he was sent to the jail hospital but still suffered persecution. Chen continued the hunger strike until February 2007. During that time the jail arranged for prisoners to assist the guards in the persecution. Besides forced transfusions, the guards mainly used forced feeding through a nasal tube. Two months later they switched to a crueler method of open-mouth tube forced feeding. Chen was locked into a small cell twice, although he was very weak due to his hunger strike.
During over two years of persecution, Chen has become emaciated. In March 2007 Chen was diagnosed with tuberculosis of the lungs. Chen's life is in danger. This was the situation as of May 2007. His present situation is not known.
The authorities directly plotting the persecution are Wu Tianquan and Zhang Yongjun, two chiefs in the Education Office, and a policeman, Guan.

Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp: Conditions the International Community Cannot Imagine
Clearwisdom.net
Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha City, Human Province is infamous for persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. I'd like to provide details about what has occurred there.
Mr. Xiao Chongjian Tortured by Camp Guards
Around 7 p.m. on September 16, 2007, prison guards Li Sujun and Xiao Jie took Mr. Xiao Chongjian to section C to try to force him to renounce the practice of Falun Gong . This section of the camp is used to torture Falun Gong practitioners. Guard Xiao Jie used a fully-charged electric baton to repeatedly shock Mr. Xiao. Li Sujun tortured Mr. Xiao for over three hours using his fists, elbows, knees, and a baton. Mr. Xiao was severely injured. The internal injuries resulted in pulmonary edema and pleural effusion.
It has been reported that a Falun Gong practitioner was tortured so severely in this camp that he is no longer able to walk. It takes four people to help him use the toilet. Another practitioner went on a hunger strike to protest the brutal treatment he received. He was force-fed so cruelly that two of his teeth were broken.
High Profits from Prison Labor, Conditions the International Community Cannot Imagine
Practitioners being held in Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp make various commercial products. The camp workshops are full of dust and trash. The conditions are unsanitary and not suitable for any kind of production. However, food wrappers are made here, including those used for ready-to-eat food. Some criminal (non-practitioner) inmates even intentionally put mucus and feces on the wrappers to vent their grievances.
Products made here include wrappers for Duck Necks from Hunan, Chongqing, and Zhengzhou; wrappers for Hunan Special Candy; chopsticks used at the Southern Pearl Hotel of Changsha; toothpicks for Pingxiang in Jiangxi; Hunan yogurt containers; chestnuts; Renbaoce thermometers; Laiyang Hanpian, and more. All of the above products are manufactured using free prison labor.
Guard Wu Bin admitted that this kind of illegal profit-making couldn't happen in Western countries, and is unimaginable to the international community. The cruelty that goes on inside is also not found in any other civilized society. The camp doctors act like they are treating animals, and the guards are killing machines.

A Lady Over Sixty Years Old Cannot Go Home for Fear of Being Arrested Again
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Han Guangrong is a 63-year-old retiree of the West Gate Train Station in the Shunqing District of Nanchong City, Sichuan Province.
Ms. Han has been "illegally imprisoned" many times since the persecution began on July 20, 1999. She has already been incarcerated for more than six years, including two years of forced labor and 15 days of detention and an illegal sentence of another four years. The 610 Office withheld Ms. Han's retirement pension for 48 months, an amount totaling approximately 20,000 yuan. She was deprived of her "Retired Worker Uniform Retirement Pension Raise" in 2006. Ms. Han worked for 35 years, but her current retirement pension is only 490 yuan per month. That is 200 yuan less than other retirees of the same tenure.
Ms. Han was released in May 2006 from the Western Sichuan Women's Prison, now renamed Binjiang Women's Prison in Chengdu City. The Shunqing District 610 Office, the District Police Department, the District Politics and Law Committee, the Xicheng Street Community Administration, Honghua Street Community, and Ximen Train Station still send personnel to harass, monitor, track, and threaten Ms. Han's family members.
At noon on August 9, 2007, section Chief Li (female, Binjiang Women's Prison) and section chief Zhou Ying (female, Area 12 in the prison) joined with Director Mr. Han (Honghua Street Community) and five other people to force their way into Ms. Han Guangrong's residence. Because Ms. Han's family members were all of one mind to resist and stop these people from entering her room, the officials were not able to take Ms. Han away.
At around 6 p.m. on August 27, 2007, Director Han (Honghua Street Community) once again led a group to break into Ms. Han Guangrong's home, intending to take her into custody. Ms. Han was not at home and they were not successful.
The officials from the Shunqing District did not give up. They sent community personnel to monitor her. Then a National Security agent followed Ms. Han's husband everywhere. He was a young man in white clothes, holding a cellphone and carrying a small black bag. They openly used two vehicles, one from the 610 Office and one from the National Security Brigade, to follow and harass Ms. Han's daughter. The Shunqing National Security Brigade deputy chief Du Weijia went to Ms. Han's daughter's work unit to intimidate her into handing over her mother. They told her that if she withheld knowledge about her mother, they would arrest her mother and then charge her with covering up a crime, have her fired as a light punishment, or sentence her to jail. This terrified Ms. Han Guangrong's daughter so much that she did not dare to go home that night.
Ms. Han Guangrong suffered from several chronic illnesses that disappeared over several months of practicing Falun Gong, without taking medicine. Ms. Han wanted to be a good person from then on. The agents of the Chinese Communist Party in the Shuanqing District of Nanchong City have confiscated the family's property, illegally imprisoned and sentenced Ms. Han to forced labor, reduced her retirement pension, and frequently sent people to harass and follow her. Now they have sent out word that they are looking to arrest her again, thus forcing this over 60-year-old woman into hiding. She is not able to go home, creating great difficulty for her entire family.

Give My Dad Back to Me
(Clearwisdom.net)
My dad is Han Naijun, I am my parents only son. I had a happy family, and did very well in my studies. I was a model student and won a scholarship. However, when the police from Ke'erqin District, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region broke into our house, my heart was broken and so was my family.
After they took away my dad, they arrested my mom as well. But when my mom was released, my dad did not come back. When I saw the arrest approval notice, I was unable to remain calm.
I know my dad is trying to be a good person according to "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance". I don't know which law was broken by my father. My grandparents are in their eighties and we don't know how to explain it to them since they probably can't take this sad news. How could such a good person be arrested? Why is an innocent person put into prison? Who can give me an answer? The police tried to force my father to give up practicing Falun Dafa. However, without Falun Dafa, it was impossible for us to have such a harmonious family. My father used to be a gambler and it was Falun Dafa that changed my father drastically. I spent my childhood in fear and sorrow because my dad was addicted to gambling. He almost lost everything, including the house payments saved by my mom. I really admired my playmates, who were loved deeply by their fathers; but I never saw my father smile. My parents quarreled very often, which made me depressed. I was so scared even when I heard a loud voice. My mother could do nothing but close her eyes. Consequently, they got divorced.
However, after practicing Falun Gong, my dad behaved according to the standard of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance". He cast off his old self and turned over a new leaf. He quit gambling and helped my mom do housework and took good care of me. I felt so happy. He also took care of his parents so that his brothers had more time to focus on their work.
I am now in high school and do very well in my studies. I won the "model student" scholarship in the last two years. This is because of the change in my dad after he practiced Falun Gong; so I had a harmonious environment.
However, everything is gone now. My dad is still detained in Hexi Detention center. He has not eaten anything for a dozen days, and his life is in danger. What's worse, under such poor health conditions, he was still force-fed by the police. I worry about my dad's health very much, because the police would definitely pressure him to renounce his belief and prohibit him from exercising Falun Gong.
My mom went to the Ke'erqin District Police Department to ask for his release, but Guan Zhengang, the deputy head of the National Security Group, did not care about my dad's danger and rudely pushed my mom out of his office. Here, I urge all compassionate people to give a hand to free my dad.

"China's National Day of Mourning"
Queensland, Australia: Falun Gong Practitioners Clarify the Truth on October 1, "China's National Day of Mourning"
By Chen Xinning
(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of October 1, 2007, the Queensland Service Center for Quitting the CCP held an activity opposite the Chinese Consulate in Brisbane to mourn for "China's National Day." Participants called on the Chinese people to separate themselves from the brutal CCP as soon as possible and stand up against the persecution.
The eye-catching banners and phrases were held high in front of the Chinese Consulate and attracted the attention of many pedestrians. People were shocked when they saw the pictures of brutal torture inflicted on Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP. Many people who already knew the truth lined up to sign the petition, opposing the callous crimes of the CCP.
A practitioner who participated in the event said, "Australians are very concerned about the persecution of Falun Gong in China." He said that all truth-clarifying pamphlets that had been prepared for the event were handed out within the three-hour time frame. Moreover, many Chinese international students looked attentively at the display boards, and numerous tourists from China accepted the truth-clarifying materials.
On the same night, practitioners continued to spread the facts at a celebratory function held by the Chinese Consulate. They spoke to fellow Chinese who attended the function about the senseless persecution of Falun Gong in China, reminded them of the heavenly laws of karmic retribution, and urged them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations and to make the choice to be righteous.
According to one practitioner, many Chinese people gave friendly smiles as they accepted the pamphlets and silently indicated their support for Falun Gong. She said, "Some people directly voiced their support and understanding of Falun Gong. Others, although they didn't say much, silently accepted the material with a smile. I am very glad that more and more Chinese people now understand the facts."
During the past 58 years, since the beginning of the CCP's rule over China, more than 80 million Chinese people have been killed through various means by the regime. Thus, since 2005, the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP had set October 1st as "China's National Day of Mourning" and "The Day of Usurping Power" to mourn for the countless innocent people abused under the oppressive regime. It is also a call for those people who are still being deceived to become clearheaded about the evil nature of the CCP and to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations for their own safety.

Changchun Police Cruelly Persecuted Me
By Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Zhongyu
(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Gong in June 1996. Since the persecution began in 1999 I have been arrested over ten times by police from the 610 Office in Changchun City, Jilin Province, and tortured so severely that my life has been in danger several times. While blindfolded, I was twice transferred to the Jiaotong Hotel and another secret place near Jingyuetang even though I had been tortured so severely that I could not walk, and my life was in danger. I was monitored for a long period of time afterwards at home. Police at different levels and from different areas knocked on the door of my home and then ransacked my home and arrested me many times. I was watched over even outside my house, and as I left or returned home I was stopped many times and even arrested. Each time I was arrested it took several days for my family members to figure out when, where and by whom I was arrested and where I was detained. In late October 2000 I held a banner in Tiananmen Square to appeal for Falun Dafa, and I shouted "Falun Dafa is good." I was kicked and beaten by evil persons from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Tiananmen Square and detained at a new jail in Beijing. Since dozens of the arrested Falun Dafa practitioners did not reveal their names, several hours later we were moved out by bus. We were moved in a group of ten to another police department, and I took the opportunity to escape.
One day in late 2000, I was followed by local police officer Zhao Kai (from Xiwumalu Police Station of Nanguang District, Changchun City), Wang Liwen (from the first division of the police department in Changchun, who later died suddenly from illness) and Jiang (among others). They broke into my home and ransacked it. Because they found the book Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong truth-clarification materials, they cuffed my hands and took me away. After they brought me to the first division of the Changchun Police Department, they opened the door of a room and asked me if I knew any of the people inside. It was very cold in Changchun then and the heat was not turned on. I saw two fellow practitioners who were cuffed from behind and had been forced to sit on the floor overnight. Later a police officer named Zhang Sinan, from the first division of the Changchun Police Department cuffed my hands behind my back to a chair, and used a leather belt with a steel buckle to whip my head. They forced me to join my hands behind my back, with one going over my shoulder and the other coming up from the bottom. They kicked and punched me. They inserted beer bottles and Falun Dafa books between my hands and body to stretch my arms apart, making them feel as if they were broken, and causing unbearable pain. They tortured me from morning until evening. During that time I said to them that I needed to use the restroom, and a policeman about 20 years old and wearing glasses said maliciously, "Pee in your pants." I was detained for thirty seven days after being arrested that time. My workplace had me released on bail but I was no longer employed as assistant editor. Just before the 2000 Chinese New Year's Eve they attempted to detain me and force me to be brainwashed. My mother had passed away more than three months earlier and they took New Years as an excuse to detain me. There was another Falun Gong practitioner, who not long after his mother was detained, was arrested and sent to a brainwashing session. His paralyzed sister was left at home alone. After I ran away, I was forced to become homeless. Afterwards they fired me and I had to make a living with the help of friends and part time jobs.
In September 2001 police from the first division of Changchun Police Department rampantly arrested dozens of Falun Dafa practitioners, including me. I was tortured with electric batons and my arms were pulled behind my back for several consecutive nights. My skin was torn and bloody from head to foot. The police blindfolded us and took us to Jingyuetang in Changchun, where there was a dark den where evil persecutors abused Dafa practitioners. I heard miserable screaming from many rooms where Dafa practitioners were tortured. The police also often took Dafa practitioners outside and beat them late at night. They covered Dafa practitioners' eyes with a black cloth, lest they recognize the place where they had been persecuted. In March 2002 I paid a visit to Liu Haibo. After we chatted for ten minutes, the door was suddenly broken into (there was no knock and the door was locked). Approximately eight people rushed in and one person had a gun in his hand. He pointed his gun at us and said, "Don't move, what's your name?" Neither of us answered. They started beating us. One police officer found four hundred yuan in my pocket, and quickly put it in his pocket. Liu Haibo's wife had put her five-to-six year-old child to bed, and the child had awakened and was screaming. While beating us they dragged us to the living room, where they attempted to tied our hands, feet and mouths. We had not done anything wrong, so we refused to be tied. Three or four of them beat us and tried to tie us up, but after trying for ten minutes they failed. I found there was a puddle of blood near me. They had beaten my head and caused the bleeding.
Liu Haibo shouted, "Don't scare the child!" They finally managed to tie our hands and feet and dragged us outside the house. Because I was injured from the beating, it was hard for me to open my eyes and I closed my eyes. I had removed my jacket and shoes when entering the house, and they did not allow me to wear the jacket or shoes. They dragged me from the fifth floor to the first floor.
These evil persons took us to the Kuancheng District Police Department and put us in different rooms. They shocked us with electric batons and beat us with police clubs without any justification. To prevent me from struggling they put a bench on me and a person sat on it. Because the physical pain was unbearable, I instinctively struggled. "What's your name?" a voice asked. I did not answer. At that time they had already removed my pants and used a two foot electric baton to shock my private area, and then hit my lower legs, ankles and toes with wooden clubs. The strong electric current was very painful and intolerable. They tortured me with the electric baton and police clubs. I struggled from the pain and the officers sitting on me could not hold me down, so several more police officers came over. While they tortured me, every now and then there was someone who mopped the floor around me, as I was injured and bleeding.
Gradually I lost the strength to struggle. Then I heard a policeman in another room saying, "We are done," and "I am good at dealing with females." Obviously they arrested and tortured not only me but also Liu Haibo. Afterwards some police officers came from the other room said, "Liu Haibo's heart beat has stopped." I could only hear and understand, however I had lost my ability to struggle. They checked my pulse and my nose to see if I was alive, and after a while they used a small stick to touch my feet. I heard a voice, "Is this the municipal hospital? Send an ambulance to Kuancheng Police Department as soon as possible. We have a person named Liu Haibo whose heart has stopped beating." Later it was confirmed by police that Falun Gong practitioner Liu Haibo died that evening.
During the process of being tortured, I suddenly noticed my pupils enlarging. A policeman nearby me shouted to me: "Hey-hey!" as he pulled or pushed me. Then I found my pupils would come back to normal, like I was taking a nap and waking suddenly.
A police officer from Kuancheng Police Department told the police at the first division of Changchun Police Department about how I had been tortured, "His hipbones were twisted." I heard only this one sentence.
I was tortured this severely, but officers from the first division of Changchun Police Department once again covered my eyes and took me to a hotel on the mountain near Jingyuetang. In the first two days I was forced to sit on an iron chair, on the third day they began torturing me again.
That evening a policeman named Zhang Hang conducted an extremely inhumane torture on me. He shocked me simultaneously with two electric batons, focusing on my private area, while officer Wang lay on the bed and made no attempt to stop him. The electric batons ran out of power and he recharged them. I saw three long electric batons being recharged.
This policeman, Zhang Hang, shocked me whenever I moved a bit or slept. Even if I had sputum I was not allowed to spit it out, and I was forced to sing the national anthem, and to recite poems and idioms. When I was reciting idioms I said, "Good is rewarded with good and evil is met with evil." After he heard it, he shocked me with the electric batons. I do not remember how many times I was shocked. Each time he held two electric batons, one in each hand, and shocked me with both batons. He used one baton to shock me on my upper body, and the other to shock me from underneath the iron chair on my private parts. When I was in severe pain and lowered my head, he kicked my head.
I eventually lost consciousness, but before this occurred, when I was clear-minded I noticed that the iron chair I was sitting on was large enough me to change positions, while the chair I later sat on was smaller and there was no space for me to move. I do not know when or how the chair was changed. Additionally some flesh was cut on my lower legs, and red wounds were visible. When I washed my head later, blood immediately flowed out, and there were bruises on my face and mouth.
In early 2004 I was forcibly brainwashed at the notorious 610 brainwashing session (so-called the "Changchun City Legal Education Program") after which I was detained and bedridden for six months. I was detained in a room where there was dew on the wall and the bed covers were so damp that water could be squeezed out. They also took my family members to brainwashing sessions using the excuse that it would help me. Wang Ping from the 610 Office of the Changchun Police Department (first division, National Security Team) attempted to find something from me to win an honor. Wang Ping had previously poured cold water over my body and head, and burned my neck with a lighter (creating scars).
Recently, as the 2008 Olympics is approaching, the 610 Office instigated police and undercover officers to intensify their harassment and surveillance efforts towards my family and me. I have been arbitrarily stopped, searched and questioned. Police cars and undercover police have circled around my home. The CCP understands that I am a typical victim of Falun Dafa persecution, the CCP also realizes that I have the courage and ability to expose their crimes, plus I am also a direct witness to many of their atrocities. They tortured many Dafa practitioners to death, including Liu Haibo from Changchun. I was ambushed by a number of policemen on June 21, 2007. They knew that I received my passport and they wanted to force me to give it to them. They handcuffed me. The cuffs cut deep into my wrists and later became swollen. I was locked in a small room with the doors and windows closed shut, and I was searched. The room temperature reached 40° C (104° F) as they attempted to force me to hand over my passport, telling me that there were documents from above that forbid Falun Dafa practitioners from going abroad. They claimed that if I handed over the passport I could go home, and if I hid it somewhere they would escort me to find it. They later threatened me by saying, "Even if you go abroad, we can still get you back."
The CCP is extremely fearful of its crimes being exposed by Falun Gong practitioners going abroad. Thus, the police intensified their surveillance and I was in danger of being arrested at any time. In order to silence my voice they could harvest my organs and cremate my body to eliminate the evidence. Under such circumstances, without notifying any of my family members or relatives, I passed through a number of places and finally escaped from China with the help of heaven, and arrived in Bangkok, Thailand to apply for asylum.
I had many chronic illnesses in the past, and hospital treatment gave me little relief. After I read Zhuan Falun in 1996, I became illness free. The main elevation I experienced was in my mind. Also, I no longer competed for personal gain. I learned to forgive and forbear, to think of others first and often helped people quietly.
Jiang's regime began persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999. I have been arrested at my home many times. It often happened this way. I was arrested and in the meantime the police raided my home and found Zhuan Falun and other Falun Gong materials and used them as "evidence" of my "crimes." My workplace also pressured me to give up my belief, and attempted to brainwash me with thier so-called "Central Government Documentation" and the news media's confusion of right and wrong propaganda. Because I did not give up my beliefs and told them the facts of my improved health status after I practiced Dafa, the police and my workplace wanted me arrested.
From July 1999 until June 2007, I was arrested more than ten times, and my home has been raided countless times. In order to capture me, the police broke into my sister's and brother's homes at night. My mother, wife, daughter and my sisters and brother were terrorized by the nighttime break-ins and the brutal torture I suffered, and they developed different degrees of heart disease. When there is a loud knock at the door, their hearts race.
My mother previously had a healthy body, but after she witnessed her son being arrested, she could not tolerate the mental stress, and she was severely upset by her son's innocent name being misunderstood by neighbors. In October 2000, my mother had a sudden stroke and she passed away. Before she died, she was unable to speak but just held on tightly to my hands. In September 2001, I escaped to my elder sister's home after many days of brutal torture. She was dumbfounded to see me covered from head to toe with wounds and layers upon layers of scars. The police used electric batons to shock me all over my body, from the face to my extremities, to my private parts. They tightened the handcuffs which cut into my wrists, locked me onto an iron chair, smeared pepper on my wounds, and tortured me with "pulling arms" (hands are handcuffed behind the back and then raised and pulled with force until the hands are in the front still handcuffed. Many Dafa practitioners including Wang Liansu and Liu Yaqian passed out quickly due to the extreme pain of this torture, and they were drenched in sweat. This torture is extremely inhuman and terrifying. Many practitioners were pulled back and forth many times). I also suffered brutal beatings, and had cold water poured over my body. My head was covered with a steel bucket and then my head was beat, my head was covered the with a plastic bag, I was deprived of sleep for many days, burned with a cigarette lighter, chocked with smoke, force-fed alcohol, slapped on the face, etc. In March 2002, when my elder sister heard that I was arrested again, she was so shocked that she could not talk. She died suddenly the next day due to a heart attack. I was almost tortured to death that time.
During the many arrests, I was twice held over seven months, and I became a mere skeleton. My leg muscles were atrophied and did not have any sensation. I crawled out the first time, and my family members carried me out the second time. Because I kept practicing Falun Gong, I was able to rise from near death each time and I recovered quickly.
The perpetrators who tortured me mentally and physically include:
Changchun Public Security Bureau First Division (later changed to Nation Security Team):
Wang Liwen, Zhang Sinan, Li Shichang, Gao Peng, Wang Lidong, Zhang Hang, surnamed Jiang, surnamed Li and surnamed Wang.
Changchun No. 1 Detention Center: guard Guo Yi and prison doctor Guo. These two instigated the inmates to force-feed me, and I was nearly suffocated twice.
The perpetrators who persecuted me mentally and economically include:
Those who were directly responsible for having me fired from my job: Jilin Province Archives Bureau (now changed to Secret Bureau), former Director Liu Fenglou, former Deputy-Director Li Guizhong, former Secretary of the Party Committee Li Zhaohui, former office director Wang Zhixiao, former editor of "Lantai Neiwai" magazine Su Zhicheng. The current director of the Secret Bureau Xue Yun refused to reinstate me to my former position.
I witnessed Dafa practitioner Liu Haibo's death: In March 2002, Liu and I were arrested at the same time, and he was tortured to death within two hours. They stopped torturing me after his death. I was near death at the time.
I indirectly witnessed many Dafa practitioners who were persecuted to death, including Wang Kefei, Jiang Yong, Xu Shuxiang, Liu Chengjun, Yu Lixin, Li Qiu, Zou Benhui, Wang Shouhui,Liu Boyang, Zhang Guibiao, Ji Jingchang and many others.
I indirectly witnessed many Dafa practitioners who passed away under long-term high pressure terror tactics, including Wu Shulan, Zhang Lixin, Xin Changnian, Chen Jing couple, and an aunt who lived on Yataidajie.
A detailed account of my over ten arrests:
On July 21, 22, 1999, when I was appealing for Falun Dafa in Jilin Province Government, I was arrested three times, beaten and held. I escaped.
In September 1999, because I would not give up my beliefs, policemen Zhao Kai and Wang Gang from Xiwumalu Police Station arrested me and held me in Balibao Detention Center. My family bailed me out the next day.
In October 2000, I went to Beijing's Tiananmen Square to appeal for Falun Dafa. I was arrested, beaten and held. I later escaped.
In November 2000, my home was raided. I was arrested at home, held for thirty-seven days and later released.
In January 2001, I was arrested from my workplace. I escaped and became destitute and homeless for three and a half years.
In September 2001, I was arrested from a truth-clarifying materials production center. After many days and nights of torture I managed to escape.
In March 2002, I was arrested along with Liu Haibo, whom I was visiting. Liu was tortured to death within two hours, I was beaten to near-death. After seven months of detention, I escaped by crawling out.
In September 2003, I was arrested on the street while giving out truth-clarifying materials, and held in a detention center for over seven months. I became a mere skeleton; my leg muscles were atrophied and did not have any sensation. A family member carried me back home after I was released.
In January 2004, I was held in a brainwashing center. I developed scabies all over my body and was extremely miserable.
From April 2004 to June 2007, I was harassed over ten times at home.
On June 21, 2007, I was arrested at home because of the passport issue. I was released two hours later.
I will try my best to expose the CCP to the world, along with its detestable acts perpetrated behind people's backs. In the meantime I appeal to the international society to stop the atrocities committed by the CCP in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners who believe in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," and to return the peaceful and quiet cultivation environment back to China.

To the Midwest Fa Conference in Minnesota
To the Dafa disciples participating in the Midwest Fa Conference being held in Minnesota: Greetings!
I would like to first send my wishes in advance that the grand conference be a resounding success. Dafa disciples' cultivation is not merely for the sake of individual Consummation. Doing well at the three tasks of Dafa disciples and saving sentient beings are things Dafa disciples must do. [I know that] doing a good job of summarizing and exchanging experiences in cultivation and related to saving sentient beings, as with doing better at fulfilling what Dafa disciples ought to do, are things that you the disciples of Dafa hope to achieve by attending the conference. I hope that all of you will benefit from this Fa conference.

Minnesota Daily: Falun Gong Practitioners March to Raise Awareness
(Clearwisdom.net)
Falun Gong practitioners and supporters from around the country marched through the East Bank Friday afternoon to raise community awareness of alleged organ harvesting by the Chinese government.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual practice that was outlawed by the Chinese government in 1999. Translated as a "practice of the wheel of law," Falun Gong is a discipline of meditation and physical exercise that [follows the universal principle of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance].
According to a detailed report written by international human rights lawyer David Matas and former Canadian Secretary of State David Kilgour, the Chinese government has been targeting Falun Gong practitioners for execution and involuntary organ removal.
Wattana Bo, a postal worker from Washington, D.C., came to Minneapolis to attend the march. The purpose of the demonstration was to bring the issue to people's attention, Bo said. "What's going on there is so bad and wrong," University student marcher Benjamen Grinberg said. "We hope to spark people's consciences a bit."
The march began at the Carlson School of Management shortly after 3 p.m. and ended at the Alumni Center. Marchers boasted signs and handed out brochures that spoke out against Communist China and illustrated the amount of money that China was allegedly getting for selling organs.
Cheng Wan, a former University student and Falun Gong practitioner, was among the marchers.
Wan said the persecution of Falun Gong in China has prevented him from returning to his home in Shashi, China. "The Chinese Communist Party tries to control everything," Wan said. "Even your mind." Kirk Allison, a program director at the University, spoke at a rally following the march.
Allison said he is not a practitioner of Falun Gong but recognizes organ harvesting as a "fundamental human rights issue."
[...]
Some of the marchers held a Falun Gong conference Friday evening in Minneapolis after the rally. Falun Gong advocates would not disclose the location of the conference due to past instances where people have tried to "sabotage" them. "Every time we try to plan an event, people try to stop it," marcher Nick Malec, a journalism senior and practitioner of Falun Gong, said. Malec said the march was not driven by political objectives beyond eliminating the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
"We are being persecuted by the Communist Chinese Party," Malec said. "We are trying to raise awareness of that kind of evil."

610 Officials, Party Secretaries and Other Officials Quit the CCP
(Clearwisdom.net)
With the surge of withdrawals from the CCP, the foundation of communism is collapsing. Officials from all levels of the "610
Office," from the Political & Law Committee and from the Party Committee, people that have been carrying out the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, are deeply shocked once they learn the truth about Falun Gong and read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. They regret that they had done a lot of bad things under the influence of the Party's evil culture, things that were detrimental for the people and country. In particular, after the CCP's evildoings of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners had been revealed, many people whose conscience was still intact have quit the CCP one after another.
"610 Office" Officials Quit the CCP
In August, Ma Wen, a 610 Office official, logged in at the "Quitting the CCP Service Center" on the Epoch Times website to renounce his party membership. He wrote, "I regret very much. I am a "610 Office" official. Due to not understanding the truth of Falun Gong, I committed wrongdoings in persecuting Falun Gong. After contacting a lot of Falun Gong practitioners, I have understood that they are good people. Here I want to say I am sorry to Falun Gong's Master and practitioners. In the future, I will use opportunities at my workplace to help Falun Gong practitioners. My relatives who practice Falun Gong persuaded me many times to quit the CCP. Now I officially withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations."
County government official and "60 Office" member Wang Changxing announced, "Because of being deceived and my mind poisoned by the evil CCP, my work habits and daily behaviors had become corrupt. In particular, after the Communist regime started the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, I had participated in persecuting and brainwashing the practitioners. Now I realize that this is a crime against the kind-hearted people. I feel ashamed of what I did in the past. From now on, I quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and become a good person."
Political & Law Committee Secretaries Quit the CCP
A veteran Party member stated, "I am Political & Law Committee Deputy Secretary. I had done party politics work for many years and noticed that the CCP always punished good people. After Falun Gong practitioners clarified the facts to me, I have understood that the heavens will eliminate the CCP, so I decided to quit the CCP right now for my safety. I decided to thoroughly quit the CCP, the Youth League and Young Pioneers. Luckily, I understand the cosmic truths as expressed in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." In the future I will practice Falun Gong as well, and become a good person, according to the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance."
Party Committee Secretary He Ping in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province announced that he thoroughly understood the CCP's wicked features. He admired Falun Gong practitioners for their brave and peaceful protest. He made solemn statements that from then on he quit the CCP and denounced the evil CCP.
Government Officials at All Levels Quit the CCP
"I am Ma Shitu. I am a Bureau Head. I have always opposed to the persecution of Falun Gong, because I know it is not wrong to be a good person. While I noticed that the retired old colleagues have regained their health, I understand Falun Gong is harmless and has a lot of benefits. The CCP has done a lot of atrocious things; regarding this, I am gradually aware of it. We are indeed deceived. Some people of our generation have indeed not committed wrongdoings, but the laws of heaven cannot be violated, and those people should not be eliminated along with the CCP and they should quit the CCP. I believe that good people have good future, so I will do more good things and act as a good leader. I announce to quit the CCP."
City Bank head Zhao Minghui stated that his colleague clarified the facts to him and he felt it was reasonable. For the bright future, he made decisions to quit the CCP, the Youth League and Young Pioneers and all its affiliated organizations.
Soldiers Understood the Truth and Quit the CCP
While the heavens eliminate the CCP, and the CCP is about to disintegrate, people in the CCP state apparatus, the army, armed police and other police officials understand the situation clearly and awaken greatly. "Quit the CCP and don't be the CCP's security blanket" is becoming a tendency in the army. They are using actual deeds - quitting the CCP and army, to reestablish the soldiers' former proper image.
A Chinese soldier wrote in his quitting the CCP statement that was published on the Epoch Times website, "'The CCP strictly controls the Army. The Party forever directs the gun,' the Party completely dominates the country. Under these conditions, the soldier is a machine, a murdering machine controlled by the CCP. We have no democracy, no human rights and no freedom. In order to break away from such control over our souls, we renounce the CCP."
Retired Army leaders Zhang Jihui and Wu Jiaqi announced, "We had our minds poisoned by the Party culture for a long time. We joined the CCP with a muddled mind. Reading the messages on the website and Falun Gong practitioners' truth-clarification on New Year's Day made us clearly we see the CCP's evil nature. We made statements to quit the CCP and all its affiliated organizations.
Armed Police and Police Officials Quit the CCP
Anxiang formerly was an army police officer and now is retired. A predestined person told him that a lot of information was blocked from entering China. When he arrived in Hong Kong, at different tourist sites he had seen images disclosing the CCP's evildoings, persecuting Chinese people. He believed they were true. Therefore, he positively quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. In addition, he stated that he would support justice, resist tyranny and chose a future again.
A CCP police official named Zhong Guoren knew all the evildoings that the Party committed. He had previously intended to break away from it but had no opportunity to do so. Today he finally had a chance to announce quitting the Youth League. He felt very happy and will eventually have a bright future.
Li Jixiang was a veteran Party member who joined the "Revolutionary Army" before the CCP seized power. He had worked in the police system for many years and his mind had been deeply poisoned by the CCP. After he understood the contents of The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and the truth of Falun Gong, he decided to quit this wicked organization.
Dalian City police official Wang Ming made statements that during the past several dozen years he witnessed the CCP's slaughter a lot of common people and their cruel killing of peaceful Falun Gong practitioners. He felt extremely sad and therefore announced to quit the CCP.
The Worldwide Tide of Withdrawing from the CCP
In order to help Chinese people quit the CCP, the Global Quitting the CCP Service Center or the Quitting the CCP Center emerged.
Over thirty countries in five continents have set up more than 100 regional Quitting the CCP Service Centers or Service Stations. Thousands of volunteers are providing varieties of voluntary service to Chinese people all day long.
At present, they mainly disseminate The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and information of how to quit the CCP. They do their work through a variety of modern communications, by ways of satellite TV, broadcasts, network, telephone, fax, and by other means. Practitioners have printed and distributed large amounts of newspaper, fliers and video information. They have also established a variety of "quit the CCP" website service channels, and used the telephone, fax and email. They established worldwide Quitting the CCP, the Youth League and Young Pioneers withdrawal service centers at well-known and frequently visited tourist sites.
The Global Quitting the CCP Service Center head Gao Dawei said, "Nowadays in China, not only common people, but a lot of officials inside the CCP, and in the politics and army systems assist to disseminate The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Everything that we have done overseas tells them that they are not alone, and righteous people worldwide stand together with them and gather their righteous voices.
With the surge of withdrawals from the CCP, the foundation of communism is collapsing. Officials from all levels of the "610

Secretary of the Political and Judicial Committee and His Entire Family Quit the CCP After Hearing the Truth
(Clearwisdom.net)
Secretary of the Political and Judicial Committee Wakes Up
Some years ago, a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Political and Judicial Committee Secretary was given his post as a reward for his active role in the persecution of Falun Gong. The Falun Gong practitioners from his county repeatedly clarified the truth to him and finally got through to him. He then persuaded his entire family to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and also began to protect practitioners.
In early 2005, after he was given his promotion, he was determined to continue the persecution of Falun Gong and refused to listen to advice to the contrary. Practitioners visited his home a dozen times and brought him truth-clarification materials, including copies of "Traveling between Heaven and Earth" and "Choosing Your Future." They also gave him software for breaking through the Internet blockade. All of this was done to try to get him to awaken to the truth and choose a good future.
The practitioners' earnestness and determination finally broke through, and his conscience was awakened. The CCP secretary and his family of five withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and he promised to stop participating in the persecution.
On New Year's Day in 2006, someone reported to him that they had found Falun Gong fliers. The secretary sternly talked to that person and told him to keep this to himself. At the end of the year, staff from the 610 Office came to ask about the local situation with regards to Falun Gong. He told them that there was nothing to report. He didn't want practitioners to be harassed.
For the past two years, when his supervisor ordered him to persecute practitioners, he either delayed it or dealt with it with paperwork but took no action.
After a Police Officer Learned The Truth, He Quit the Party
By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China
Starting on July 20, 1999, the day when Falun Gong was banned in China, police officers in our area have committed crimes against practitioners because their minds were poisoned by the slanderous CCP propaganda. When a policeman came to harass me, he asked, "Do you practice it or not?" I replied, "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa, and it brings great benefit to people and our nation without causing any harm! Why should we not practice it?" He said to me, "Because the Party said that it was a wicked practice." I responded, "What you have seen and heard on TV is fabricated. Those programs were created to deceive people." After that, I told him about how I have benefited from practicing Falun Gong and did my best to clarify the truth to him.
After that, whenever he showed up at my home, I treated him with a practitioner's great compassion. I clarified the truth to him, and I told him the situation of Falun Dafa around the world. I told him that the practice had spread throughout the world. After he learned the truth, his attitude changed. He said to me kindly, "If you think it's good, then do it at home. Don't fight with the government, you can't win."
Some time ago, I ran into him. I gave him a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and told him about withdrawing from the CCP. I told him, "You could use a pseudonym when you quit the Party. This is for your own good." He couldn't think of a pseudonym, so I told him, "Let me give you a name." He was happy with the name I came up with and said, "Well, you did a good job." We both laughed. Seeing another being saved, I felt a deep joy in my heart.

Becoming Falun Dafa Practitioners
How I Became a Dafa Practitioner - A Clearwisdom Special Collection
On August 12, 2005, the Clearwisdom team published a notice to western practitioners Calling for Articles: How Did You Become a Dafa Practitioner?
Since then, we have received numerous submissions from practitioners. They were from different countries and from different walks of life, from accomplished pianists, famed musicians, to prisoners; from youngsters to an 86 year-old gentleman. They all shared how Falun Dafa has profoundly changed their lives, both physically and mentally.
We compiled some of the articles from the published articles on Clearwisdom.net. We also included a few articles from Taiwan.
A practitioner remembered the first night he read Zhuan Falun when he was 15-years-old
I can still vividly remember the first night I started reading Zhuan Falun. I was in a very bitter mood, and was also feeling quite angry and jealous. Since I had nothing else to do, I picked up Zhuan Falun and read the first lecture. The principles contained within it struck a deep chord with me. Even though much of the vocabulary was over my head, there was something familiar and comforting about the book. By the time I was done, I had a remarkable sensation that I had never experienced before. It was a sense of true calm, of contentment from the bottom of my heart. The jealousy and bitterness that only hours before had seemed to consume me disappeared. That night, I went to sleep smiling, and got the best sleep of my life.
A Taiwanese practitioner who obtained Fa in jail described his experience:
It was like the darkness fading away as the morning arrives, after listening to Teacher Li's lecture tapes for just 8 days.
A young lady was struck with multiple sclerosis when she was only 25 years old. She shared her experience:
I continued doing the exercises, sometimes sitting in a chair and sometimes standing. I slowly read Zhuan Falun. I became stronger and stronger and my vision became clearer. Within a few short months all of my symptoms disappeared and now I have been symptom free for over 4 years. My eyesight has improved and I have the least amount of correction in my glasses that I have ever had since I started wearing glasses. I have been able to go back to work, and I am leading a full and busy life once again. In the Memorial Day Parade I was even able to perform the exercises on a moving float without falling off. Before, I had a hard time standing on the ground without falling.
......
There are many touching stories like these.
We also welcome practitioners to continue to share your stories so people around the world can benefit from your experience.
