(Clearwisdom.net) The deaths of 150 Falun Gong practitioners as a result of persecution were verified through non-governmental channels in 2007, and 123 of those deaths took place in 2007. Among them, women practitioners and practitioners over the age of 50 each accounted for 53.3 percent of the cases. During the eight-and-a-half years of persecution between July 20, 1999, and December 31, , by the Chinese Communist regime, a total of 3,121 Falun Gong practitioners' deaths have been verified.
This represents a very small percentage of what is really happening in this brutal persecution. A much larger number of practitioners are missing, and some have had their organs harvested for profit while still alive and their corpses incinerated. These crimes are covered up by tight restrictions on information and the Communist regime's best efforts to hide the facts.
The Beijing Olympics are only one year away. The Communist regime has not implemented its promise of improving human rights. Instead, it has launched another intensive wave of persecution in the name of preparing for the Olympics.
Former Public Security Minister Zhou Yongkang initiated a new round of persecution against Falun Gong beginning in March 2007. Falun Gong practitioners were arrested in droves. Some were detained or sentenced to prison. Some practitioners were abused until they became disabled and even died. Some are missing and their whereabouts remain unknown. Many practitioners were forced to put on black headgear when they were arrested. In some cases, the organizations making the arrests refused to inform the families of the arrested practitioners, denied visitation, and even denied the existence of the arrests.
On October 15, 2007, the European Union and China were scheduled to hold a human rights dialog. Prior to the meeting, Vice President of the European Parliament Mr. Edward McMillan-Scott sent a letter to Speaker of the European Parliament Hans-Gert Poettering. In the letter, he mentioned that in the report about torture in China written by the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture Mr. Manfred Nowak, two thirds of those detained by the regime are Falun Gong practitioners. Human rights attorney Gao Zhisheng concluded that about 250,000 practitioners are still being detained.
Over the past few years, police officers from the Jilin City Detention Center and Police Dog Training Base in Jilin Province have used electric shock, beatings, and mustard oil to torture practitioners. In addition, they recently began to put hot pepper powder into plastic bags and then cover the heads of the practitioners with the bags. Ms. Mu Ping was force-fed with mustard oil and her throat was severely injured. Doctors then operated on her without using anesthetics. One of her arms was severely injured during a beating. The officers pushed bamboo sticks into the tips of her fingers and toes, between the skin and the nails. Her face, hands and feet were blistered from the electric shock. In spite of this, the police still violently force-fed her.
Eleven practitioner deaths as a result of persecution were verified in December 2007
The deaths of eleven practitioners were verified in December 2007. Among them were five women and seven practitioners over the age of 50. All eleven deaths happened in December.
The eleven deaths took place in ten provinces and municipalities. There were two cases in Sichuan Province, and one each in Liaoning Province, Heilongjiang Province, Hebei Province, Jilin Province, Hunan Province, Hubei Province, Chongqing City, Zhejiang Province, and Anhui Province.
Mr. Wu Jiuping died as result of persecution in Anhui Province
Mr. Wu Jiuping, in his 30s, lived in Tianchang City. He was employed by the Testing Department of the Tianchang City People's Hospital. He began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. He was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor in 2001 and three years in prison in 2003, with two years of probation.
At approximately 4 p.m. on November 22, 2007, Xia Wenshi, male, head of the hospital security office, along with Domestic Security Division Head Chong Sicao, male, (also head of the Tianchang City 610 Office) of the Tianchang City Police Department, and two police officers went to Mr. Wu Jiuping's home, a new fourth floor apartment prepared for Mr. Wu's upcoming wedding. The details of what happened are under investigation. Mr. Wu's neighbor on the first floor heard a loud noise, thought something had fallen from upstairs, and found Mr. Wu on the ground. The neighbor called out for help and saw the four officials quickly leaving, despite the fact that Mr. Wu was still moving on the ground. It is not certain who called the ambulance, but a rescue worker rushed him to the Tianchang City People's Hospital, where Mr. Wu worked. Soon after, more than a dozen police officers came to seal off Mr. Wu's home. Mr. Wu's bride-to-be, the nurses in the same hospital, and his family are all being closely monitored.
Mr. Wu died in the hospital at approximately 8 p.m. on November 22, 2207.
According to an eyewitness, Mr. Wu was still moving after he fell. Sources said Mr. Wu was talking in a state of semi-consciousness after he arrived at the hospital. The left side of his face was severely swollen, and his left eye was almost blinded. His whole back and lower body were covered with bruises. The left side of his pelvis was crushed, and his left leg was broken. On the evening of November 22, 2007, the hospital was barricaded by police. The police told the public that Mr. Wu jumped from the building of his own accord, a tactic repeatedly used by the CCP after causing a practitioner's death. Further investigation determined that after police beat Mr. Wu Jiuping until he was severely injured, they then threw him out of the fourth floor.
Mr. Wu Yueqing died as a result of persecution
Mr. Wu Yueqing, in his 30s, lived in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province. He was arrested multiple times because he practiced Falun Dafa.
In June 2000, Mr. Wu went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong, and he was arrested and detained in the Tiebei Detention Center in Changchun City. He went on a hunger strike to protest, and was cruelly force-fed by guards and the prison doctor. They stuck a water bottle down his throat, damaging it, and force-fed food into his trachea, causing his lungs to become infected. He was admitted to a hospital, where guards encouraged prisoners to beat him and pour cold water on him. The police extorted 3,000 yuan from him and detained him for more than nine months.
In December 2001, Mr. Wu was arrested at a Falun Dafa informational material production site and tortured. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison in January 2002 and served in the 23rd Branch of the 11th Ward of the Mudanjiang City Prison. Persons that participated in the abuse of Mr. Wu included 610 Office Chair Ling Qingfan; guards Ling Dawei, Li Hongbo, Du Zhanyi, and Liu Weitong; and others.
Conditions are extremely bad in Mudanjiang Prison. The two years of detention damaged Mr. Wu both mentally and physically. He was sick with tuberculosis and was as thin as a skeleton. Guards ignored his health problems until his life was in danger. He was finally admitted to the hospital, but the medicine made him even worse, and there was a big hole in one of his lungs. He weighed less than 80 pounds and was near death. The Prison Administration still delayed releasing him until he was almost dead.
Around the end of 2006 or the beginning of 2007, after returning home, Mr. Wu Yueqing was dying. His wife had passed away earlier. His older sister, Ms. Wu Yuexia, who was also a practitioner and a teacher in Baoshan Middle School, looked after him. On September 28, 2007, police officers Zhao Kui, Fang Xiaoming, and Li Fu from the Baoshan District Department stormed into Ms. Wu Yuexia's home, saying that they needed to check her background information. They took her directly to the Jiamusi City Labor Camp. Ms. Wu Yuexia was Wu Yueqing's only source of support. His condition deteriorated and he died on December 23, 2007, leaving a 13-year-old child to live in an orphanage.
Ms. Zhao Jiafang died after labor camp personnel injected her with unknown drugs
Ms. Zhao Jiafang, 64 years old, lived on Songnan Street at the Songzao Coal Mine in Qijiang County, Chongqing City. She began practicing Falun Dafa in October 1996. After her practice of Falun Gong, her various illnesses disappeared.
On July 20, 1999 Jiang Zemin's regime started the persecution of Falun Gong. At the end of 1999, Ms. Zhao went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was arrested. Songzao Coal Mine Police Department Party Secretary Yang Mingyu (male) went to Beijing to pick her up and detained her for 30 days in the Qijiang County Detention Center.
After returning home, officers Yang Mingyu and Yu Zhengming ordered Ms. Zhao's family to pay 3,000 yuan to cover Yang Mingyu's trip to Beijing, otherwise they would deduct the amount from her husband's salary.
In August 2001, led by officer He Xinqiang, several local police officers and security guards arrested Ms. Zhao at her home. They detained her in the county detention center and violently interrogated her. They had her sentenced to eight and half years in prison on charges of "obstructing the law" and took her to the Yongchuan District Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Zhao was subjected to years of brutal treatment in the Yongchuan District Forced Labor Camp. Due to long-term hard labor, her eyesight was blurry. She passed out three times in the camp, but, the guards at the camp ignored it.
She was finally taken to the labor camp clinic, but after she was injected with some unknown drugs, she appeared to have difficulty breathing. To avoid being held responsible for her death, the labor camp authorities released her for medical treatment on October 1, 2007, and she was picked up by her family.
Her family immediately took her to the Coal Mine Employee Hospital, but she did not recover. She died at 3:40 a.m. on December 21, 2007.

Additional Information Regarding the Persecution Death of Outstanding Teacher Ms. Hou Youfang from Gansu Province (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Hou Youfang was a physics teacher at Xipo Middle School in Jinchang City, Gansu Province. The Gansu Province No. 1 Labor Camp, 7th Division, is where she was persecuted to death on November 29, 2002; she was only 48 years old. Below is additional information regarding her case.
Ms. Hou was born on March 20, 1954. She was recognized as an outstanding and excellent teacher for several years. When she went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa in February 2000, she was illegally arrested and escorted back to Jinchang City by a policeman from the Chengjian Police Station and the principal of her school, Huang Jisheng. She was held in the local substance abuse center for two weeks. When she was released, her husband, Niu Xianglin, divorced her.
School principal Huang Jisheng would not allow Ms. Hou to resume her teaching duties. He arranged instead for her to work in the cafeteria. She had to carry buckets of water for the use of 80 to 90 people, do custodial work, and gather coal. She was not allowed to wear gloves even though her hands had many open wounds that bled. Another perpetrator in the persecution was Zhang Xueyou. School authorities gave Ms. Hou 200 yuan for subsistence living expenses. She was forced to pay 6,000 yuan for being escorted back from Beijing, and she had to pay the teacher who taught her class. In total, she was charged 16, 000 yuan. The school authorities attempted to force her write a Guarantee Statement. They threatened to take her house away if she refused. They tried to deceive her by saying that, if she wrote her statement not to practice Falun Gong, they would give her back her salary and her house and let her return to teaching.
In June 2001, Hou Youfang was arrested and held in the local detention center. The director of the detention center, Hu Dengping, force-fed her and beat her so badly that she was covered with bruises. One of the perpetrators was one of her students who could not face her and hid behind a door.
Ms. Hou was arrested again the same year when she handed out truth-clarification materials at Jinsanjiao Market and was reported. After she was released, she had no place to go--she was divorced, and her children refused to take her in. She had no choice but to stay at a fellow practitioner's home. The school authorities and the police from Chengjian Police Station followed and monitored her closely.
When she once clarified the truth in public, they attempted to arrest her and shove her into a car. Because there was a large crowd witnessing the event, they had to give up arresting her in public and just followed her. When Ms. Hou went to another practitioner's place, officers from the Chengjian and Guangzhouroad Police Stations and staff from the Education Committee surrounded the house, broke in, and arrested her. She was tortured mercilessly in Chengjian Police Station, where they hung her up by her handcuffs, tied her down on a tiger bench, and subjected her to other tortures. However, Ms. Hou was able to escape with her righteous thoughts.
Homeless, she went to Minqin County and continued clarifying the truth. She was arrested by the local police, tortured, and sent back to Jinchang City.
In August 2001, Hou Youfang was sentenced to two years of forced labor. Before she left for the camp, one unnamed official announced: "No matter what you do, make sure you keep her in the labor camp." Police officer Cai Jianjun took her to the labor camp. Because of her long-term persecution, Ms. Hou was extremely weak, with migraine headaches, vertigo, and severe scabies. She was taken to the Gansu Province No. 2 Labor Camp but refused admittance due to her poor health condition. They took her to another labor camp and she was refused for the same reason. We do not know what officer Cai Jianjun said to the Gansu Province No. 1 Labor Camp officials, but they finally agreed to accept Hou Youfang. Cai Jianjun said, "According to our leader, we'd rather that she die in the labor camp than for her to leave."
Wu Ruimei, a guard at the labor camp, instigated other inmates into beating and verbally abusing Hou Youfang. Wu also stole money that fellow practitioners had given to Ms. Hou. The labor camp guards used all types of torture on her.
Ms. Hou Youfang died on November 29, 2002, as a result of torture and relentless persecution. Fellow practitioners were witnesses that Ms. Hou Youfang had been beaten so severely that her arms and ribs and pelvis were fractured. The perpetrators included Zai Wenqin, the leader of the labor camp division, the labor camp hospital, and the camp Education Department.

The Persecution of Mr. Yang Guomin's Family in Wuhan City
(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of June 22, 2007, in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, the police illegally arrested four family members of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Guomin. Later they arrested an additional family member. Mr. Yang's elderly mother, who did not practice Falun Gong, committed suicide due to sadness and despair.
Yang Guomin, 40, is an engineer with a Masters degree, working at Wuhan Institution of Science Research of Telecommunications (Fenghuo Communications). He received a national award in science and technology. Prior to his arrest, Yang worked in information and communications as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a company.
Around 11 p.m. on the evening of June 22, 2007, a group of plainclothes police from Donghu and Xihu Police Departments and Changqing Huayuan Police Station in Wuhan City, entered Mr. Yang's home under the pretense of needing to check the house for gas leaks. They broke the locks on the doors and robbed the home of several valuable items including a computer, mini CD player, MP3 player and cell phones. The police then apprehended Mr. Yang and his wife Zuo Ruru and left their 11-year-old son home alone. Mr. Yang was illegally detained at Etouwan Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City for more than two months, and then sentenced to a forced labor camp for one year.
Mr. Hu Yongjun, the brother of Yang Guomin (his brother took their mother's last name), was a national worker at Tianmen City's Land Administrative Bureau in Hubei Province. Mr. Hu went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong in November 2001. He was illegally detained at Tianmen City Detention Center for more than eight months and was denied any visitors. He was later sentenced to three years of imprisonment and sent to the notorious Shayang Fanjiatai Prison, where he endured forced labor and was insulted and tortured. When he was released in 2004, he was fired from his previous job. He then found employment in a telecommunications company in Wuhan City. Sometime around June 28, 2007, he was called into work by his company and then arrested by police from Wuhan City Police Department. He was sent to a brainwashing center, and a few days later he escaped with strong righteous thoughts. He has since become homeless to avoid persecution.
On the evening of June 22, 2007, in Jiangan District, Xuzhou New Village, no.3 Village, more than two dozen officers from Wuhan City Police Department and the area's 610 Office forced their way into the home of Ms. Yang Linge, the sister of Mr. Yang Guomin. They abducted Ms. Yang Linge and confiscated her computer, printer, cell phones, satellite dish, tape recorder and 1,000 yuan in cash. Her 9-year-old son was so frightened by the scene that he hid under the bed and refused to come out. On the same evening, police arrested Ms. Yang's husband, Cheng Dehan, while he was working an evening shift at his job and took him to Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center in Jiangan District. Mr. Cheng was sent to a forced labor camp for a year and a half. His place of employment, Jiangan Vehicles Company, fired him after 19 years and left the family without any income.
During the eight months that her youngest son, Yang Guojun, was detained, his mother made countless appeals to the officials of the village, township, city and the detention center. She asked again and again for the release of her son. She even knelt in front of the Tianmen City Detention Center for a very long time, but no one seemed to take notice. Those officials pretended they didn't see her. They even refused her the right to visit her son. After Mr. Hu was sentenced for another three year, his mother lost all hope and killed herself in December 2002. Police in Fanjiatai Prison rejected Mr. Yang's request to see his mother one last time after she died.
Currently both Mr. Yang Guomin and his brother in law Mr. Cheng Dehan are detained at Wuhan City Hewan Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Yang is under 24 hour a day observation.
On the written conclusion of the forced labor camp sentence, it says that the litigant can appeal to the court. When family members asked to see Mr. Yang so he could sign the appeal application, the officers in the labor camp said they would see that the application was submitted. Two weeks later, family members checked with Wuhan City Appealing Department and were informed that they were instructed by officials not to accept appeals from Falun Gong practitioners. The Hubei Province Forced Labor Camp Administration stated they never received the appeal. Family members returned to the forced labor camp and were told the application was turned into the 610 office for review. At the present time, Mr. Yang's family still hasn't received any result from the appeal process and the legal system appears to be simply a tool for deceiving people.
Before practicing Falun Gong, Mr. Yang Guomin suffered from severe neurasthenia. He had difficulty sleeping and always felt tired during the day. Mr Yang often felt weak and was frequently ill. He tried many types of medicines and exercises but nothing helped. Only one week after he started to practice Falun Gong, his health condition dramatically improved. With a healthy body, Mr. Yang was able to make a greater contribution at his job. As a high-level researcher he took part in the research of a 10Gb/s SDH optical fiber transmission system and received a prestigious award for science and technology. In November 2001, Mr. Yang was detained in a brainwashing center for more than 6 months because he went to Beijing to appeal. After he was released, he was forced to leave his job because he refused to give up his belief in Falun Gong. He had received a Technical Innovation Award from this company for his great work in information and communications, and had led a team that made huge contributions to the company. Yet such a person is sent to a forced labor camp by Chinese Communist Party (CCP)! His family is now destitute.

Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp Illegally Detains Over 150 Falun Gong Practitioners
(Clearwisdom.net) The Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp is still holding over 150 female Falun Gong practitioners. It's been reported that Falun Gong practitioner Liu Qiaozhen of Jiacun Township in Wangdu County has been on a hunger strike for over three months and is now critically ill.
The Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp moved to nearby Hebei Province Women's Prison located on Shitong Road in Shijiazhuang in November 2007. On the morning of November 19, 2007, Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp transferred all illegally detained female Falun Gong practitioners from brigade No. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 to this concentration camp. November 28 was originally the day for family visits, but the labor camp canceled all visits that month, and visits did not resume until the end of December.
Under the direct supervision of the "Education Section" (the 610 Office) of the Hebei Province Forced Labor Camp Administrative Bureau, guards transferred from the Tangshan Forced Labor Camp passed on their experiences in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. A month-long training class was held for the guards, and they escalated the persecution of steadfast Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners were denied family visits, showers and daily necessity items.
Shijiazhuang City practitioner Qiu Liying attended a trial hearing for Li Qiumin on September 26, 2007. She was taken to the Hebei Province Brainwashing Center the next work day, transferred to a labor camp after ten days, sentenced to one year of forced labor, and she is currently detained in Brigade No. 1 of the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp.
A Beijing attorney representing Qiu Liying was denied access to the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp at the end of December 2007. When the attorney and her family appealed to the Hebei Province Judicial Bureau and Provincial Committee Office, the Hebei Province 610 office used a variety of excuses to deny access. Feng Guifu is the department head in the education section of Hebei Province Forced Labor Camp Administrative Bureau, which is the 610 Office responsible for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Feng Guifu used "maintaining safety during the holidays" to deny the attorney access in his latest attempt. Shortly thereafter, a vehicle full of men followed, stopped and threatened her attorney in broad daylight.
Qiu Liying has been on hunger strike and is emaciated. Her body wobbles while she is walking. Meanwhile, the CCP is doing all it can to keep her in the labor camp.

Chinese Communist Party Members in Ningxia Autonomous Region Still Committing Crimes of Persecution against Falun Gong
By a Falun Gong practitioner from the Ningxia Autonomous Region
(Clearwisdom.net) In 2007, many Communist regime officials continued their crime spree targeting Falun Gong practitioners. These actions happened with the instigation and direction of CCP Committee Secretary Chen Jianguo in the Ningxia Autonomous Region, the former head of the Ningxia 610 Office Su Deliang (who later was transferred to the Ningxia Political and Judiciary Committee), and the current 610 Office head Yao Yingli, persecutors from the legal systems, the Political and Judiciary Committee and others from the 610 Office. The result was that one practitioner died as a result of persecution, nine practitioners were sentenced to lengthy prison terms, one practitioner was sentenced to forced labor camp but served the sentence outside the camp, eight practitioners were sent to brainwashing centers, hundreds of practitioners were arrested, had their homes searched and were harassed.
The following is a brief description of the specifics:
Mr. Chao Zhiming Died as a Result of Persecution
Mr. Chao Zhiming had been the manager of the Feilong Corporation, part of the state-owned Lingwu Farm in the Ningxia Autonomous Region. His wife Ms. Zhu Xiuying was an employee at the corporation's alcohol factory. The couple retired early because of poor health. In 1997, after they had practiced Falun Gong for a year, their illnesses disappeared. Ms. Zhu Xiuying, who had been illiterate her whole life, experienced a miracle -- she was able to read all of Zhuan Falun. She presented a speech at a cultivation experience sharing conference later, as the only practitioner from Ningxia Autonomous Region, in Lanzhou City. The practitioner couple was steadfast in cultivation.
Jiang Zemin's regime started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. The couple was relentlessly persecuted from then on. During the past eight years, police searched their home close to twenty times, and they were arrested, illegally detained and harassed at home numerous times. The police confiscated the Chaos' personal belongings. The persecution caused a resurfacing of their physical ailments. The medical costs for their treatments during the past few years added up to about 120,000 yuan. One one occasion, when police searched Chao Zhiming's house, policeman Wu Hao ran into the kitchen and dragged Ms. Zhu Xiuying, who was cooking, to the floor. He dragged her for several meters, breaking her arm in the process. With her severe diabetes and a broken arm, Zhu Xiuying fell and broke her leg, which resulted in her complete disability. She died on January 25, 2006.
Zhu Xiuying's mother, over 80 years old, could not endure the mental trauma and also died in August 2006.
Mr. Chao Zhiming suffered paralysis on one side of his body and experienced speech difficulties due to the stress induced by years of persecution. He could not take care of himself, but police still did not go easy on him. In June 2006, the Political Security Group's Party secretary Yang Yuqiang as well as Yang Yufeng, head of the Political Security Group and two officers from the Chengzhen Police Station of Lingwu City broke into Chao Zhiming's home. They pushed him onto a couch and berated him. Mr. Chao tried to stop them when they started to take away his son's computer. They finally stole two external hard drives instead.
In June 2007, about 30 police officers from the Yinchuan City 610 Office, from the Yinchuan City Police Department, the Yongning Police Department, and the Lingwu Police Department broke into Chao Zhiming's home and harassed him.
On August 18, 2007 he suffered a stroke. His family took him to the hospital, but he could not be cured. He died on the afternoon of August 22, 2007.
Those responsible for persecuting Mr. Chao include Li Cun, Jin Chunhua, Zhang Anzhong, Wu Hao, Ma Yinglong, Li Ming, Zhang Zhanlin, Yang Yufeng, Yang Yuqiang, Ma Yuelin.
Illegally Sentencing and Sending Practitioners to Forced Labor
1. On February 7, 2007, Wang Jianguo and three other practitioners were heavily sentenced.
On September 14, 2006, practitioners from Yinchuan City, Wang Jianguo, Si Yurong, Chen Xueying and Han Ruixian went out to clarify the truth and were arrested. Participating in the arrest were personnel from the Domestic Security Division in E'ertuokeqianqi in E'erduosi City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The police tortured the practitioners using metal chairs and deprived them of sleep. Police officers searched their houses and took away desktop computers, printers, electronic books, and mp3 players. Officials from the Ningxia 610 Office, from the Ningxia Police Department and from the Yinchuan City Police Department eventually sent the four practitioners back to Ningxia and locked them up. They deprived them of sleep for several nights to torture them.
On February 7, 2007, Tongxin County Court officials in Ningxia tried the four practitioners. The four told their stories in court, explaining how they had physically and mentally benefited from Dafa. They spoke of the CCP's illegal persecution of Falun Gong. The practitioners exposed the persecution and torture at the hands of the police and refused to acknowledge the trumped-up charges. The court twisted the truth and illegally sentenced the practitioners. Wang Jianguo and Chen Xueying were each sentenced to eight years in prison. Han Ruixian was sentenced to five years. Si Yurong was sentenced to three years, with five years of probation.
2. On July 11, 2007, practitioner Zhao Yuhu and three other practitioners were secretly sentenced. On the evening of December 7, 2006, the persecutors monitored and tapped practitioners' telephone lines. This was ordered by the Ningxia 610 Office and the Police Department, the 610 Office, the First Division of the Police Department, and Xingqing District Domestic Security Division. These people had followed and arrested practitioner Zhao Yuhu, Cai Guojun, Jiang Hongying, Zhang Xiaoping from Yinchuan City and five practitioners from Shizuishan City including Mu Zhihong. Five practitioners were locked up in the Yinchuan City Detention Center where they were subjected to ruthless torture. On May 29, 2007, having been manipulated by persons from the Yinchuan City 610 Office, Xixia District Court officials in Yinchuan City tried the practitioners. The officials did not expect resistance from four practitioners including Zhao Yuhu with righteous thoughts. The court then secretly tried them. The four practitioners appealed. On July 11, 2007, the Sixth Court of the Middle Courthouse in Yinchuan City still upheld the secret sentences: Zhao Yuhu, 7 years; Cai Guojun, 5 years; Zhang Xiaoping, 5½ years; Jiang Hongying, 4 years.
3. In July 2007, the Shizuishan City Court sentenced practitioner Mu Zhihong to three years in prison.
4. In October 2007, practitioner Gu Jingjie, an employee from the Sixth Middle School in Yinchuan, the Jinfeng District, was sentenced to one and a half years in a forced labor camp (on probation).
Practitioners Arrested and Taken to Brainwashing Centers
1. In January 2007, practitioner Sun Jianfeng, an employee from the Yinchuan Electric Plant, was arrested at work and taken to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou City.
2. Prior to the Communist Party's 17th Congress, the Ningxia 610 Office instigated officers from a surrounding police station as well as residential committee personnel to arrest practitioners Xin Linyuan and Si Yurong and take them to a brainwashing center. They took Shan Jining to the brainwashing center from the women's forced labor camp. They also took Lingwu City practitioners Dai Yuzhen and Xie Xiaona to a brainwashing center from the Yinchuan Women's Forced Labor Camp.
3. Practitioner Ma Zhiwu, an employee of the Ningxia Railway Bureau, was sent to a forced labor camp and was sentenced. He has been persecuted in prison for eight years. His term was to expire on November 7, 2007. Around midnight on November 6, officers from the 610 Office, along with officers from the Xixia District Xihuayuan Police Station transferred Ma Zhiwu from the Wuzhong Prison to a brainwashing center where he is still being detained.
4. Yinchuan practitioner Zheng Yongxin has been persecuted in prison for eight years. His term was to expire on November 11, 2007, and his family traveled over 300 kilometers and waited in front of the prison gate that morning to take him home. But then the family observed the 610 Office agents putting Zheng Yongxin in a car and driving off. They did not even get a chance to talk to him. It was said that the 610 Office used several police officers to take Zheng Yongxin away.
Zheng Yongxin is currently being detained and persecuted in a brainwashing center.
Illegally Arresting and Harassing Practitioners
1. On June 4, 2007, officials from the Yongning County Police Department arrested practitioner Nan Yongsheng, who was locked up at the County Detention Center for several days.
2. On the evening of June 13, 2007, Yongning County Police Department personnel arrested practitioner Wu Yanming from Lingwu City and held him at the County Detention Center for several days.
3. On June 14, 2007, agents from the Yinchuan City 610 Office along with officers from the Yinchuan City Police Department, the Yongning County Police Department and the Lingwu Police Department broke into practitioner Zhao Shouguo's home. The persecutors videotaped him and took many valuable belongings from his home and attempted to arrest him. Practitioner Zhao Shouguo and his wife resisted, and the police were unsuccessful.
4. On June 27, 2007, perpetrators hired by the Wenchang Police Station in Zhongwei City arrested practitioner Qin Wanfu from that city.
5. At around 10:00 p.m. on July 5, 2007, police from the Zhongwei City Domestic Security Division arrested two practitioners' family members and held them until 7:00 p.m. the next day.
6. On July 6, 2007, officials from the Tiedong Police Station in the Jinfeng District, Yinchuan City arrested practitioner Ms. Zhang Guifang and her son Wang Jianjun. The police searched Zhang Guifang's house and held her at Yinchuan Detention Center for several days.
7. On August 7, 2007, Wuzhong Domestic Security Division agents arrested practitioner Ma Zhiwu's wife and six other relatives who were visiting him in the Wuzhong Prison. They were detained for one night and were extorted 20 yuan each.
8. On August 28, 2007, Dawukou District Police Department officials in Shizuishan City arrested practitioner Li Ailing.
9. On August 30, 2007, several persecutors held a meeting. The officials were from the Yongning County 610 Office, from the Ningxia Political and Judiciary Committee, the Ningxia Police Department and from the local residential committees. They decided to start investigating all practitioners in Yongning County and establishing written profiles on all of them so they could be persecuted. They also sent plainclothes police agents to follow and monitor practitioners, and tap into their phone lines. They attempted to escalate the persecution, but did not succeed.
10. On September 15, 2007, Dawukou District Police Department officials broke into practitioners' houses to search. If they found computers that had access to the Internet, and printers, they arrested the practitioners. They registered practitioners in the Dawukou District and took samples of the practitioners' handwriting, for use in the future.
11. On around September 15, 2007, Dawukou District Police Department agents arrested practitioners Lin Ailing and Yang Tianyun.
12. On September 17, 2007, the Dawokou District Police Department deputy head Fu Fukui and Domestic Security Division leader Jing Ping led a group of police officers and some people from the local residential committees. The individuals broke into practitioner Ms. Li Lanfeng's home and arrested her and Liu Xiaoning from Zhongwei City, along with Li Lanfeng's husband Chen Baozhong. Police took away Dafa books, tapes, a picture of Master Li, and a notebook computer.
13. Prior to October 1, 2007, Huinong District police in Shizuishan City searched practitioners' homes one by one. They arrested practitioners and interrogated them one by one. They coerced the practitioners to register, sign [a document] and be fingerprinted. They harassed more than 100 practitioners. Police arrested the uncooperative practitioners and persecuted them further in a detention center.
14. On October 18, 2007, Yinchuan City police arrested practitioner Guo Jinhua from Xinjiang Autonomous Region and later searched her temporary residence. They held her in the Yinchuan Detention Center for several days.

16. On November 18, 2007 plainclothes officers from the District Police Department in Zhongwei City pretended to buy goods from practitioner Yang Yulan's shop in a market. When Yang Yulan started clarifying the truth to them they arrested her and searched her house.
All the responsible parties who have persecuted and are still persecuting Falun Gong practitioners have records on the Internet. The mission of the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) is "To investigate the criminal conduct of all institutions, organizations, and individuals involved in the persecution of Falun Gong, and to bring such investigation, no matter how long it takes, no matter how far and deep we have to search, to full closure."

Li Xiunan Illegally Sent to Forced Labor Camp; His Disabled Wife Suffers Stress Induced Heart Attack
(Clearwisdom.net)
Mr. Li Xiunan, 54, began practicing Falun Dafa in Yanji City, Jilin province in 1998. Before becoming a practitioner, he had serious health problems such as a chronic ulcer, and he was nearly blind. After reading Zhuan Falun and doing the Falun Gong exercises, his ulcer and eye problems disappeared.
On December 9, 2007, while Liu Xiunan was posting truth-clarifying materials, he was grabbed and taken to a detention center by security guards. In the detention center they tried to make him disclose the source of the materials and DVDs using brutal force. Because of his steadfast refusal, Li Xiunan was detained in the Yanji City detention center for 15 days. By law, detainees are allowed to call their families, but Mr. Li, being a Falun Gong practitioner, was not permitted to do so.
Li Xiunan's wife was disabled, and could only handle simple household chores in her wheelchair; their 21-year-old son is still in school; his 80-year-old mother needs his care. Since Li Xiunan's income was barely enough to begin with, his unlawful arrest has put a great burden on the shoulders of his handicapped wife, making it almost impossible for this poor family to survive. His wife went to see him at the detention center, but the guard there did not allow her to see him, and she was kicked out.
Li Xiunan's wife had no alternative but to seek the help of Yanji State Security Brigade Deputy Captain Xiao Bin, who is in charge of Falun Gong affairs. She explained to Xiao Bin about how her family was in dire need of her husband. However, it turned out that Li Xiunan wasn't released; on the contrary, he was given one year of detention in a forced labor camp.
The police informed Li Xiunan's family only after he was transferred to Jiutai Forced Labor Camp. His wife had a heart attack due to the overwhelming stress, and now there's no one to take care of his elderly mother.
As soon as Li Xiunan was admitted to Jiutai's Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp, guards there wanted to torture him right away, but they were stopped by Yanji city's police. Currently, Li Xiunan is forced to do slave labor 12-hours a day, and his daily meals consist of rice soup and some buns.

Two Practitioners Die After Enduring Years of Persecution (Tianjin City and Liaoning Province)
(Clearwisdom.net)
After Years of Persecution, Ms. Wang Yan Dies in Liaoning Province
Ms. Wang Yan, 56, lived in Huanren County, Benxi City, Liaoning Province. She was an accountant employed by the Paoziyan Civil Construction Institute in Huanren County. After beginning Falun Dafa practice in 1996, her nearly broken family became peaceful, and she was considered, "a good person who is hard to find nowadays." She even helped other sick employees with their medical payments.
After the persecution of Falun Gong started, Ms. Wang went to Beijing twice to appeal and validate Falun Dafa. She was arrested both times and was detained in the Huanren County Detention Center, where guard Cheng Xianliang (male) shocked her head with two electric batons, and forced her to wear ankle shackles for nine days. After being released, her employer and the County Communist Party Political and Judiciary Committee members threatened her several dozen times and arranged for her colleagues to watch her closely.
The local police ransacked her home many times. After Ms. Wang was detained for the third time, she was sentenced to three years of forced labor. Her mother-in-law had a stroke when the police ransacked their home, and when Ms. Wang was arrested, her mother was left at home with no one to care for her. Ms. Wang's employer withheld her salary and dismissed her from her position, causing her to lose her income. She became very sick, and her mind became unclear. She had to be released on bail for medical treatments.
Ms. Wang went to her employer and the County Communist Party Political and Judiciary Committee to request her salary and work position back, but her request was denied. In April 2005, her son was sentenced to three years of forced labor for practicing Falun Gong. In the long eight years of persecution, Ms Wang and her family have been constantly harassed and threatened. Ms. Wang Yan died on October 20, 2007.
After Years of Persecution, Ms. Zhang Qingying Dies in Tianjin
Ms. Zhang Qingying, 50, lived in Xingyeli Neighborhood, Dongli District, Tianjin City. She began cultivating Falun Dafa in 1996. On July 10, 2000, she was locked up for 25 days in the Dongli District Brainwashing Center in Yaoliuqiao Township. She went to Beijing to appeal in August 2000, immediately after being released from the brainwashing center. She was thus sentenced to 18 months of forced labor, served in the Tianjin City Women's Forced Labor Camp (formerly called Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp), where she was forced to do slave labor in the clothing factory. While at the forced labor camp she was deprived of sleep, and her blood pressure reached 220 due to the mental pressure and physical torture.
After Ms. Zhang was released from the forced labor camp in 2001, she did not stop practicing Falun Dafa. The local police and Neighborhood Administrators constantly harassed her, and she had a stroke in the summer of 2005.
On June 20, 2006, when Ms. Zhang was studying the Fa in a fellow practitioner's house, she was arrested and then detained in the Dongli District Detention Center, but was released one week later because her stroke symptoms recurred. The Dongli District police still sentenced her to two years of forced labor, and assigned policeman Han Junsheng to deliver the forced labor notification. Ms. Zhang refused to sign her name to the document. The forced labor camp refused to take her due to the severity of her condition, and the police then processed her case as "bailed out for medical treatment." Under the long-term pressure of the CCP persecution, Ms. Zhang never recovered from her condition, and died on January 8, 2008.

Tragic Ends for Practitioners' Family Members Unable To Cope with Years of Relentless Persecution
(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong not only brings injury to practitioners, but also causes unbearable pain to their families. The following describes tragedies in the families of two Falun Gong practitioners in Beijing. The practitioners' relatives committed suicide because they were unable to tolerate the persecution and its impact on their families.
1. Ms. Zhan Shuping and son arrested - Husband believed to have taken own life in despair
In February 2006, Shuangyushu Police Department in Haidian District, Beijing City, arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhan Shuping and her son, Mr. Xu Chong, who live in Zhichunli, Haidian District. The two were illegally imprisoned in a forced labor camp. The police sealed the bedrooms in their home and confiscated much of their property. A neighbor later entered their home and discovered the body of Ms. Zhan Shuping's non-practitioner husband, who had been dead for several days. It is believed that he committed suicide because he was unable to endure the evil conduct and terrifying threats of the Chinese Communist Party police.
2. Ms. Wang Shuge taken to forced labor camp - Grieving son commits suicide
In May 2006, practitioner Ms. Wang Shuge from the Chaoyang District of Beijing was arrested while distributing Falun Dafa literature. Later she was illegally sentenced to forced labor for two and a half years at the Women's Labor Camp in Beijing. According to eyewitness descriptions, Ms. Wang Shuge was regularly tortured and beaten. Her non-practitioner son who recently graduated from the university, committed suicide because he could not tolerate the stress of his mother's illegal imprisonment. Her husband, also unable to endure the pressure of the Chinese Communist Party's long term persecution, sold the house and moved away.
Ms. Wang Shuge is from Liufang Nanli Neighborhood, Chaoyang District, Beijing. She was arrested and illegally detained many times in 1999 for appealing for Falun Gong. She had been illegally arrested by Xiangheyuan local police department many times. The police repeatedly went to her home to harass her. She was frequently imprisoned during the holidays and beaten mercilessly by the prison guards. In October 2000, Ms. Wang Shuge was sentenced to one year of forced labor, which psychologically affected her son and severely aggravated her husband's health condition.

Practitioner Zhao Yu Sent to Brainwashing Center Following Incarceration at Nanjing City Women's Prison
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhao Yu is a Falun Gong practitioner from Wuxi City in Jiangsu Province. She is a former bank employee. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials sentenced her to four years of incarceration in Nanjing City Women's Prison for her steadfastness in Falun Gong practice and for telling people the facts about Falun Gong. The following describes her persecution experiences at this prison.
Ms. Zhao refused to sign her name as a criminal on her purchase orders while at prison. For this, the prison officials deprived her of her rights to the basic necessities of daily life. The prison section leader ordered that none of the inmates in her cell could lend Ms. Zhao their things. This meant that for almost nine months, Ms. Zhao had no access to even one roll of tissue or one sanitary pad.
Ms. Zhao also refused to wear a "strict discipline tag." The officials ordered the tag affixed to many of her clothes. They also took away her only warm jacket. In the bitter cold winter, Ms. Zhao was made to sit down beside the toilet, the coldest place in the cell. In the hot summer they made her sit in the hottest spot.
Ms. Zhao continued her practice of the Falun Gong exercises. Prison officials sent her to Pukou Mental Hospital in Nanjing City, where she was tied to a bed and her tormentors used electric needles shock her head.
At the conclusion of Zhao's given term, regime officials transferred her to the Xinghua brainwashing center for further detention. To achieve their goal of her giving in to brainwashing, they once deprived her of sleep for 12 days in a row.

Court of Zhongshan City in Guangdong Province, Illegally Sentences Ms. Huang Xingyao to Three Years in Prison
(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of May 1, 2007, when Ms. Huang Xingyao was distributing truth clarifying materials about the persecution of Falun Gong in Shiqicheng District, Zhongshan City, four policemen followed, arrested, and detained her at the local detention center for over seven months. Although her father hired a defense lawyer for her, the court still sentenced her to three years in prison. The following is information about Ms. Huang Xingyao and her family.
Ms. Huang, 44 years old, attended Teacher's fifth lecture in Guangzhou City in December 1994. She has been very diligent in practicing, studying, and spreading awareness of Falun Gong ever since. On December 19, 1999, when she went to a local tea house to have tea with other practitioners, Tang Yuan and other police officers arrested her and detained her for 15 days. On July 12, 2000, Hu Wensong and other officers from the local police station broke into her home, confiscated her property, and detained her in the local detention center for a month. In April 2001, officials from the 610 Office and local policemen illegally arrested her and took her to the local brainwashing center for three months. In August 2003, Yu Jun from the 610 Office and Xie Guanwen, along with other police officers, broke into her home, arrested her, and took her to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center for another three months. Currently, she is being detained in prison for a three year term.
Mr. Huang Liande (Ms. Huang Xingyao's father), 74 years old, started practicing Falun Gong in August 1994, and attended Teacher's fifth lecture in Guangzhou City. On July 14, 2000, officials from the 610 Office, Hu Wensong and other policemen broke into his apartment, arrested him, and detained him in the local detention center, then took him to Sanshui Forced Labor Camp, where he was detained for two years. On November 16, 2004, 610 Office officials Li Lianghuan and He Guoyou, along with other police officers, broke into his home and arrested him. He was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. The police searched his apartment six times and confiscated many Falun Dafa books and truth clarification materials. On March 19, 2007, when he was distributing materials, the police arrested him again and started monitoring his apartment.
Zheng Hailing (Ms. Huang Xingyao's mother) attended Teacher's fourth and fifth lectures in Guangzhou City in July and December of 1994. She stayed at home alone when her husband was detained in Sanshui Forced Labor Camp and when her daughter was detained in the local detention center. Policemen Hu Wensong, Sun Rongtian and others often came to threaten her. Under intense mental and physical pressure, she passed away on May 19, 2005.

Guards in Xindian Forced Labor Camp in Taiyuan City Order Drug Addict Inmates to Persecute Mr. Wei Jianzhou
(Clearwisdom.net) For carrying a copy of Zhuan Falun with him, practitioner Mr.Wei Jianzhou of Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, was arrested and imprisoned in Xindian Forced Labor Camp, where he started a hunger strike to protest. Guards then ordered drug addict inmates to persecute him.
Around May 2007, Gong Junsheng ordered the formation of a so-called "special group for the examination of a case" to persecute Mr. Wei specifically. The people in charge included Education Officer Zhang Junde and five drug addict inmates: Zhao Qing from Xishan, Taiyuan City; Wang Chenghu from Yangmingbao, Dai County; Wang Laicun from Dai County; Li Zhiwei from Hequ; and Chen Wenliang from Dai County. Zhao Qing was the head of the group, Wang Chenghu and Wang Laicun were major players, and Li Zhiwei and Chen Wenliang were coerced into participating.
Guard Zhang Junde once beat Chen Wenliang because Chen still had some conscience and did not want to persecute practitioners. Li Zhiwei and Chen Wenliang were even punished by Zhao Qing for not actively participating in the persecution. Zhao Qing was released about one month ahead of time for "outstanding" performance [in persecuting practitioners]. Drug addict Wang Laicun often persecuted practitioners. During the time he closely watched practitioner Mr. Yan Xipeng in Taiyuan City, he often beat, swore at, and verbally abused Mr. Yan.
When Mr. Wei Jianzhou was on a hunger strike, inmates Wang Chenyan and Wang Junqing, who were on duty at night, also participated in savagely force-feeding Mr. Wei. The sounds of beatings, swearing, and quarreling were heard every night. Sometimes the torture lasted past 4:00 a.m. and would resume at about 5:00 a.m. when Mr. Wei was forced to get up. Even during this one hour of "sleep time", he was also often tortured. After a few days Mr. Wei Jianzhou was completely disfigured from torture. Currently, he still can't get normal rest.
Xindian Forced Labor Camp in Shanxi Province imprisons and persecutes male Falun Gong practitioners from Shanxi Province. Since 1999, about 500 people have been persecuted there. The ten practitioners still imprisoned there are: Yan Xipeng and Li Wei from Taiyuan City, Tian Fusheng and Liu Hong from Datong City, Li Zhiyong from Yanquan, Zhang Wenbin, Bai Xinyan, Lu Chongxu, Wei Jianzhou in Yuncheng City, and Zhao Guocun from Baoding City, Hebei Province.
Those in charge of the 3rd Group:
Gong Junsheng from the Donghu Country Area, Shenchi County, is the head and Political Director.
Yao Hong from Linfen is the deputy political director.
Zhang Jiangang is the deputy head.

34 People Declare that their Words and Deeds Under Forced Brainwashing are Null and Void
(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. Also, as more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."
Sichuan University Professor Mr. Li Ming Twice Sent to Forced Labor Camp and Tortured
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Ming, 35, graduated from the Department of Economics at Sichuan University in 1995. After graduating he taught at Chengdu Senior Business College (Currently Chengdu University of Technology) until June 1999. He was once honored as an excellent and dedicated teacher, and his students loved him. His parents also taught at Sichuan University as chemistry professors. Mr. Li resides in Zhulin Village at Sichuan University. Due to his strong belief in Falun Dafa, and consistently clarifying the truth about the persecution to people, he was twice sent to a forced labor camp and brutally tortured.
In October 2000 he was distributing truth-clarifying materials at Sichuan University prior to his taking part in a GRE test, and he was arrested by a plainclothes police officer. Without even being questioned, he was sent directly to Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Mianyang City for 18 months.
Practitioners who are steadfast in their belief were directly taken to the brick factory where they were forced to labor for more than ten hours per day. Every steadfast practitioner was tortured with grueling slave labor in harsh surroundings. They were treated without human dignity and held in complete confinement.
Mr. Li Ming soon became inflicted with scabies. He began to have blood in his bowel movements and the wounds on his feet became infected with pus. Mr. Li came to realize that he should not passively submit to the persecution. He and other fellow practitioners held a strike together in the brick factory and they began to do Falun Gong exercises. The guards became so irritated that they bound protesting Falun Gong practitioners with ropes and brutally beat the practitioners with electric batons. A group of these guards smeared their faces with ashes soaked in urine and dragged them to the door of the furnace to torture them with extreme heat.
During the break-time, practitioners were forced to take part in the co-called "condemning rally." At each such rally there would be some practitioner courageously shouting, "Falun Dafa is good!" This courageous shouting shocked and awakened the spirits of people who were numbed under the high pressure and terror. The shouter would soon be dragged outside and brutally tortured.
In 2001, a few months after his release from the forced labor camp, Mr. Li Ming was talking about Falun Dafa to some students of Sichuan University and was reported to the authorities. The Wuhou district prosecuting office issued Li Ming an arrest notice. Li Ming's family wanted to hire a lawyer, but the lawyer said, "There's no way to defend this kind of case, but you can pay money to reduce the penalty." So, after they paid 15,000 yuan, the prosecuting office threw out the case for insufficient support of evidence. The Public Security Department however, gave Li Ming another two-years of forced labor anyway.
While in Chengdu's Pi County Detention Center, Mr. Li refused to wear the inmate clothing and he continued to do Falun Gong exercises. Guards ordered inmates to beat Li Ming every day. As a result, Li Ming's head and half of his face went numb and his legs were fractured. They burned him with cigarettes, gagged his mouth with filthy socks and poured water on his ears.
For a period of two months Li Ming's hands and legs were handcuffed, and he held a hunger strike for over forty days to protest the persecution and torture. He was not only force-fed, but also had to shower in cold water. At that time, quite a few Falun Gong practitioners passed away, one of them being only 17 years old. Because SARS was rampant in China at the time, the authorities used this as an excuse to detain many practitioners for longer periods of time, claiming that since they were exposed to it, they could not be released.
After seven months in the detention center, Li Ming was transferred to Mianyang City's Xinhua Forced Labor Camp. At that time the atmosphere was very tense, for there was a practitioner persecuted to death and another who was viciously declared as being "mentally ill" after being injected with nerve-damaging drugs. Any practitioner who did not comply was taken out to be tortured with an electric baton and bound with ropes.
Later at this forced labor camp, a so-called "condemning rally" was called. Mr. Li Ming stood up to protest the rally. The guard who hosted the rally screamed at Li Ming, "Wait to see how I will punish you!" The other nearby guards responded quickly, circled close to Li Ming, hauled him away and dragged him to a room. A cruel voice was heard shouting to the guards, "Be vicious!" Li Ming was kicked down to the ground and others circled Li Ming kicking him, punching him, and also stomping on his face. After a little while, three guards came in. One of them shouted at Li Ming, "Stand up, stand straight." As soon as Mr. Li stood up, the guard gave him a giant kick, slapped his face, stripped his clothes and tied him up with rope. Then the other one hit him with a police baton and spit on his face until Li Ming's face became swollen and deformed.
Mr. Li Ming's labor camp sentence was extended an additional six months with strict supervision. Mr. Wang Renwei, another practitioner, was tortured with an electric baton, which caused his face to become covered with scars. The forced labor camp came up with a vicious promotional picture smearing Falun Dafa and Teacher and Mr. Wang stood up to protest. The next day, Wang's eyes were blackened and he lowered his head when eating, though he appeared to be smiling. This protest caused authorities to extend his prison sentence.
Mr. Li Ming was confined a total of three years and eight months during his two forced labor camp terms.
On April 11, 2005, while Mr. Li was clarifying the truth, he was arrested by 610 Office agents from Pi County. On the following day he was detained at the Jinhuaqiao Street Office Brainwashing Center by officers from the Wangjiang Police Precinct of Wuhou District. This detention did not last long, for he was able to leave using righteous thoughts and wisdom.
On May 19, 2007 at 3:00 p.m., Mr. Li Ming was arrested again by Sichuan University's Security Department when he was passing out truth clarifying materials. His home was ransacked by police from Wangjiang Road precinct and Street Office. He was detained at Jinhuashen of Wuhou District, Chengdu City. He was soon released.
On October 15, 2007, Li Ming was arrested once again while passing out fliers which clarified the truth about Falun Gong. He was sentenced to a term of 14 days in jail for "disturbing public security." He was originally scheduled for release on October 29, 2007, but after plotting between Wuhou District's Street Office, Wangjiang Police Precinct, the local 610 Office, and the political and legal committees, he was sent to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center on October 29, 2007. He's still being detained and it took a great amount of persistent questioning before his family was informed of the detention by the local authorities.
Li Ming's parents are quite elderly and they have health problems. For many years, because of the persecution of their son, the family was subjected to constant threats and interference which caused tribulation and pain beyond words.
There are many more persecuted Falun Gong practitioners at Sichuan University, including professor Yang Jinxia, a 69-year-old environmental protection expert, Ms. Luo Ping, a 31 year-old instructor at the Public Health College, and Professor Chen Qinggui of the Irrigation College. Wang Haibo, College of Mathematics Assistant Professor, was sentenced to three years in prison. Ms. Fang Hui, a foreign language assistant professor, was sentenced to three years and six months in prison. Assistant Professor Ding Zeyang is currently detained, and has been given a formal notice of arrest.

Police in Dingzhou City, Hebei Province Beat Ms. Jia Minying to the Brink of Death, Then Extort Ten Thousand Yuan from Her Family
(Clearwisdom.net)At the end of August 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Ms.Jia Minying went to Huideying Village and distributed truth clarifying materials. She was illegally arrested after being reported (Note: Huideying Village is the hometown of Ma Tiezhu, the head of The National Security Group. The truth clarifying materials that she distributed included content that exposed Ma Tiezhu's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners). Later, she was imprisoned in the Dingzhou City Detention Center where she was cruelly mistreated. Ma Tiezhu and Zhao Shaohua, who are the head and the vice head of the National Security Group, and one other person locked Jia Minying into a small room, and took turns violently beating her, trying to force her to reveal where she got her truth clarifying materials. They said while beating her, "Ok, refuse to tell? Nobody would know if we peeled off your skin and took out your tendons!" The police beat her for one hour. Duan Jianping tried to force Jia Minying to shout "Greetings, my boss" to them, but instead she shouted "Falun Dafa is good!" Duan Jianping then used a stick to whip the back of Jia Minying's hand, which became very swollen and is still purple.
While being beaten by the police, Jia Minying often felt sharp pains in her head, and she also had pain all over her body and could not take in any food afterward. Her blood pressure was extremely high. Many police, including Ma Tiezhu, then threatened to force-feed her if she did not eat any food. In December, the police took Jia Minying from Dingzhou City, Hebei Province to the Hebei Provincial Women's Forced-labor Camp where they refused to accept her because she failed the physical examination. After leaving the camp, several people, including Ma Tiezhu and the driver, locked Jia Minying in a room and severely beat her. They violently kicked and stomped on her head and body. They beat her until she passed out. Seeing that she was dying, one of the attackers said, "Let's just take her to the crematorium." Another attacker grabbed her hand and found that she still had a pulse, so he propped her up against a wall and pointed at her between her eyebrows and said, "We'll beat you to death if you don't tell us [where you got the truth clarifying materials]!" The police were afraid that she would die while she was with them, so they took her to the hospital. Later they released Jia Minying after extorting over ten thousand yuan from her family.
Currently, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Xu Tongyan (who is about sixty years old) in Liqinguo Town, and Mr. Cao Zhenchuan in Nangaopeng Village are still illegally imprisoned in Dingzhou City Detention Center. In December, Falun Gong practitioners Zhao Jinru, Hao Cuiqin and Wu Yanguo were unlawfully imprisoned in Hebei Province Shijiazhuang City Women's Forced-labor Camp. Bian Liangjing was illegally imprisoned at the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp. Wang Yueqin, Zhang Shouying, and Shulian were released after having over eight thousand yuan extorted from them.

Mr. Qi Zhengui Dies after Being Sentenced to Forced Labor Twice
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Qi Zhengui, 69, lived in Hengshui City, Hebei Province. He used to have many ailments before he started to practice Falun Dafa in 1996, but he recovered soon afterwards. He went to Beijing to clarify the truth after the persecution began, but he was arrested. He was first detained in the North Hengshui City Detention Center and then transferred to the South City Detention Center.
In 2000, the authorities sentenced him to two years of forced labor on a charge of "carrying Falun Gong materials." He was first in the Fifth Ward of the Shijiazhuang City Labor Camp and later transferred to the Third Ward. Guards Wang Liqing, Jiang Qingchun, and others (all male) mentally and physically tortured him, injuring him severely. He never quite recovered even after he returned home.
On June 16, 2005, 80-year-old Ms. Kang Yanxiang went to the Hengshui City 610 Office to inquire after her son's whereabouts. Mr. Qi Zhengui went with her. In August 2005, police officers led by Domestic Security Division Deputy Leader Zuo Tiehan arrested him and eight other practitioners. They had Mr. Qi sentenced to three years of forced labor again and took him to the Gaoyang Labor Camp on September 6, 2005. He was refused admission to the labor camp due to his physical condition. He was released after they extorted more than 1,000 yuan from him.
This brutal mistreatment caused his physical condition to worsen, and he died on September 5, 2007.

Mr. Yu Guoxi Dies as a Result of Torture at the Benxi City Labor Camp in Liaoning Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yu Guoxi lived in Wanidianzi Village, Guaimozi Town, Hengren County, Liaoning Province. He was arrested by police from the County Department in March 2005 while studying the Fa at home, detained for one month, and sentenced to three years of forced labor. He suffered two years and three months of terrible conditions and torture in the Weiningying Labor Camp located in Benxi City. He was released in July 2007 because he was severely ill. He never recovered after returning home, and died in December 2007 at the age of 56.
The director of the Weiningying Labor Camp is Liu Shaoshi (male). Guards Ding Huibo, Guo Tieying, Zheng Tao, Zheng Kai (all male), and others are trying everything they can think of to "transform" practitioners. One commonly used torture method is the "Stretching Bed (1)," during which they sometimes suspend the practitioner in mid-air above the bed. They often use this torture on a practitioner for 15-20 days. They would not even let the practitioners down to use the restroom. When practitioners were finally released, they were unable to walk for several days, and some were disabled permanently.
Weiningying Labor Camp Director Liu Shaoshi: 86-414-4618971 (Office)
The police fix the steadfast practitioners' limbs on a specially made bed on which there are 4 rings. Practitioners' hands and feet are fixed in the rings. Then the police would apply force to the rings, so that the practitioner's body will be pulled up away from the bed as their limbs are stretched. If one is left in this position for long periods of time, the limbs are often dislocated and the person maimed permanently. Moreover, the police forbid others to take care of the maimed practitioners. See illustration on http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2005/2/11/57390.html.

Ms. Huang Lijun Brutally Tortured in Nanjing Women's Prison
(Clearwisdom.net) Nanjing Women Prison in Jiangsu Province actively cooperated with 610 Office officials to brutally persecute Falun Dafa practitioners illegally detained there. Ms. Huang Lijun is one of those practitioners.
Ms. Huang Lijun was born in Lishui County, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. She is over 40 years old. She was illegally sentenced to three years' imprisonment in 2002 and detained at Nanjing Women's Prison. She has been detained in the 6th, 2nd and 5th Monitoring Sites. Police Official Chou (assistant monitoring site chief--assigned to Nantong Prison later) directed and participated in the persecution of Huang Lijun during her stay at the 6th Monitoring site. In order to force Ms. Huang to give up her belief in Dafa, the guards used many torture techniques. This is what we have learned so far:
Very little food was provided. There was a time that Huang Lijun was given so little food that she had no choice but to drink tap water. Later, she went on a hunger strike in protest of her mistreatment. The prison doctors forced food laced with unknown drugs into her mouth.
Daily supply receipts must be signed "prisoner." Huang Lijun refused to sign, as she is not a criminal and therefore should not be imprisoned. Prison officials forbid purchases of tissue paper, sanitary napkins, and other daily necessities until she signed. Huang Lijun had to use wrapping paper picked up from the workshop.
Guards marked Teacher's name on benches and the shoes of practitioners, in an attempt to force practitioners to defile their Teacher's name. Practitioners have to stand if they do not sit, and they will go barefoot if they do not wear the shoes. If the guards could not get practitioners to comply, then they will write Teacher's name on the floor.
The guards continuously shocked Huang Lijun for a long time with an electric baton in the policing rooms of the workshop. When she didn't say anything, the official would yell, "Why don't you cry? If you cry out, I'll let you go!" Huang Lijun did not say a word. Prisoners in the workshop could smell burnt flesh. Those people who still had a conscience were in tears.
The guards tied Huang Lijun to an iron bed for a long time. They secured a heart monitor to her, because this torture can result in shock or death.
Most prisoners in the 6th Monitoring Site became sympathetic to Huang Lijun, so she was moved to the 3rd Monitoring Site. She was soon transferred to the 2nd Monitoring Site. There is a special "Priority Aid Group" at the 2nd Monitoring Site. The guards attempted to force Huang Lijun to abandon her beliefs. The prisoners shared the same living cell in the beginning. Torturers cannot escape other people's eyes. Therefore, the torture there is limited to forcing practitioners to stand in a corner for long periods and depriving them of food.
Around April 2004, Political Commissar Wu Xiaofeng of Nanjing Women's Prison authorized the detention of Huang Lijun in the "Relative Visiting Room" alone. Police official Ding Hongyan carried out Wu's orders. Huang Lijun stood for seven days and six nights. She was not allowed to sleep. There were four prisoners working in two shifts to monitor her. The prisoner's names were Xue Shouqin, Ge Changying, Gao Beilei, and another unknown prisoner. Huang Lijun went on a hunger strike to protest.
The weather was chilly then, especially in the morning and at night. Huang Lijun didn't have much for clothing and her request for warm clothing was rejected. Huang Lijun's empty stomach felt especially cold. The guards directed other prisoners to cover her face with a cold wet towel to "wash her face." The prisoners danced the "Rabbit Dance" with Huang Lijun among them. They pushed her back and forth in order to drain her physical strength. The prisoners do what the guards tell them to do, because it determines whether they can get their sentences commuted or lessened.
The prison guards took photos of other prisoners holding a bowl and chopsticks pretending to "persuade her to eat." Ms. Huang reached the limit allowed for hunger strikes. Official Ding Hongyan ordered her hands tied and forced food into her mouth. Ding Hongyan said, "This is convenient. We can do whatever we want to force food into her." Another time, Huang Lijun's hands were tied for several hours and her thumbs were damaged. It took two months for her to recover. The guards also ordered prisoners to strike her head with pans, to bind her hands, and to use pens to write on the arches of her feet. All these dirty tortures were concealed. Prisoners at the same site could not imagine what the prison guards did to Huang Lijun in the "Relative Visiting Room" during those seven days and six nights. Other prison officials didn't even know what happened.
Soon after she was returned from the "Relative Visiting Room" to the 2nd Monitoring Site, Huang Lijun was transferred to the 5th Monitoring Site.
During her imprisonment at Nanjing Women's Prison, Ms. Huang was not allowed to see her family members or have a phone conversation over five minutes long during the relatives' monthly visits. The phone would fail when the time limit was exceeded.
Huang Lijun was illegally imprisoned until September 20, 2005. The Nanjing 610 Office operated in the capacity of cooperating with Nanjing Women's Prison prior to that. Around July 1, 2005, Huang Lijun was dragged to the "Relative Visiting Room" from the workshop. She suffered another round of persecution to try to force her to abandon her beliefs. Xiang Yang, Bai Zhenghui, and other officials from the Nanjing 610 Office directed and carried out this round of persecution. Huang Lijun was locked in a guardroom. She was not allowed to wash. There was barely enough water to flush the toilet. It was summer and Huang Lijun used part of the water to wash. Anyone in the 610 Office could watch Ms. Huang's every movement on the monitor.
Huang Lijun was again ordered to stand in the corner for very long periods and not allowed to sleep. If other torture techniques were used or not, it is unknown at present. A month later, it was said that Huang Lijun was "transformed." She didn't abandon her belief before this round of tortures. Torture by the 610 Office is even more brutal. It was said that the Nanjing 610 Office and the Jiangsu 610 Office cooperated with Nanjing Women's Prison many times before the end of 2005. The officials brutally persecuted every practitioner that would not abandon her belief. This continued in the prison "Relative Visiting Room," until the practitioners agreed to give up their beliefs.
It's said that Huang Lijun was illegally detained again from July to August 2006. Her current situation is unknown.
Prison Chief Mao Jun, Political Commissar Wu Xiaofeng, Assistant Director Bai Guangyou in the Correction Department, and other responsible prison officials of Nanjing Women Prison cannot escape their guilt in the persecution of Ms. Huang Lijun and other Dafa practitioners. They directly or indirectly orchestrated and/or participated in the persecution of Dafa practitioners.
It is said that Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Xinchun would not cooperate with the demands of the persecutors, so she was sent to a mental hospital in the prison system for additional persecution. Ms. Wang is from Pei County of Xuzhou and worked at Pei County Educational Department before her arrest.
Ms. Huang Lijun was born in Lishui County, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. She is over 40 years old. Ms. Han Guanrong, 63, Arrested Again After Suffering in a Forced Labor Camp for Six Years
By a practitioner from Sichuan Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Han Guangrong, 63 years old, is a retired employee from Ximen Long Distance Bus Station, Shunqing District, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. She suffered from several chronic illnesses that disappeared within several months of practicing Falun Gong. Ever since, she was determined to be a good person and live by Falun Dafa's principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." However, over the past 8 years, government officials from the Shunqing District, Nanchong City have ransacked her home, arrested her, sentenced her to forced labor camps and prison, and withheld her pension. These perpetrators often harassed and monitored her. Now, Ms. Han has been arrested again. Her continuous suffering has brought great pressure to her entire family.
1. Forced Labor
At the end of 1999, Ms. Han Guangrong was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor and taken to the notorious Nanmusi Woman's Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong County, Sichuan Province, where she was inhumanly tortured.
During her detention in the No. 5, No.7 and No. 8 Divisions, Ms. Han was in solitary confinement for nearly two years. While in the No. 5 Division the prison guards forced the steadfast practitioners to stand in "military" posture, standing at attention while facing the wall. The toes had to touch the wall and the middle finger placed on the seams of the trouser legs. The entire body had to be close to the wall, the eyes wide open and less than 10 mm from the wall. Roll call was at 6:00 a.m. and bedtime around midnight. Practitioners were not allowed to move and had to stand in that position for at least 16 hours daily. If they closed their eyes, the prisoners assigned to monitor them would either swear at or beat them. Practitioners were not allowed to leave the cell for any reason. They had to ask permission to use the toilet. They were only allowed to use the toilet twice a day and they were forced to eat their meals next to the toilet, which had no lid.
To force the practitioners to renounce Falun Dafa, prison guards forbade them to take a shower, wash their hair and face, brush their teeth, or change clothes. Their assigned monitors watched them around the clock. Most of these monitors were drug addicts. The guards linked the reduction of their terms with how well they persecuted practitioners. Therefore, these inmates treated practitioners very cruelly and ruthlessly. The more practitioners they forced to renounce Falun Dafa, the sooner they would be released. These drug addicts often said, "The forced labor camp is hell on earth. No one wants to stay here. As long as we can have our terms reduced we will do anything." The prison guards manipulated the drug addicts to make them do their bidding. One day the drug addicts forced Ms. Han Guangrong to pose in a horse riding position on a stool until she passed out.
During her detention at No. 7 Division, the prison guards locked Ms. Han Guangrong with 20 or so other steadfast practitioners into a small cell of about a dozen square meters. The guards forced practitioners to sit on a small plastic stool for 15 to 16 hours daily. They were not allowed to move, speak, or close their eyes. They were forced to listen to collaborators read articles that slandered Falun Dafa. During hot summers, the cell was like an oven and the practitioners were soaked in sweat. Despite suffering from skin rashes, they were not allowed to move. Ms. Han and two other practitioners protested the brainwashing, declaring that the articles were nothing but lies. Therefore, Zhang Xiaofang, the head of No. 7 Division shocked their mouths with an electric baton.
In the women's forced labor camp an inmate has the right to sleep at night, wash her hair, take a shower, change clothes, use the toilet, have family visitations and write letters or make phone calls. However, Falun Gong practitioners who strove to be especially kind people and followed the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" were denied these rights and had no freedom. In addition, practitioners had to perform forced labor, including pasting together small paper bags for infant medication, and sorting pig hair.
2. Tortured During Four Years of Detention at a Forced Labor Camp
When Ms. Han's illegal forced labor term was about to expire, the lawless officials were already plotting further persecution. On December 23, 2002, Shunqing District Court, Nanchong City secretly put practitioners Ms. Han Guangrong and Li Jianhou on trial. After the news got out, dozens of practitioners from Nanchong City gathered at the district court. When Ms. Han Guangrong and Li Jianhou got out of the police car outside the court, they shouted at the top of their voice, "Falun Dafa is good!" Dozens of practitioner inside and outside the court shouted in unison, "Falun Dafa is good!" "Zhen-Shan-Ren ("Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance") is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa! Restore the reputation of our Teacher!" The shouting shocked all those present. The illegal trial was postponed. A large number of armed policemen were called in and more than 20 practitioners were arrested. Some practitioners managed to escape. Later, Ms. Han was illegally sentenced to 4 years of forced labor.
In May 2006, Ms. Han Guangrong was released from Chuanxi Women's Prison (called Bingjiang Prison, Chengdu City at this time). Staff from the Shunqing District 610 Office in Nanchong City, the National Security Division of the Shunqing Police Sub-department, the District Political and Judiciary Commission, Xicheng Neighborhood Committee, Honghuajie Community, and Ximeng Long Distance Bus Station sent people to harass Ms. Han Guangrong and her family. They monitored and followed them all the time. They also threatened them.
On the afternoon of August 9, 2007, the Section Head of the Bingjiang Women's Prison, Chengdu City with the surname Li, and Head of the No. 12 Ward that is known for torturing practitioners Zhou Ying, collaborated with Director of the Honghuajie Community, Ren Jianming and an older man with the surname Han. They attempted to break into Ms. Han's home. Ms. Han and her family refused to let them in.
3. Arrested by CCP Agents Again
At 6:00 p.m. on August 27, 2007, Director Ren Jianming of Honghuajie Community and Han broke into Ms. Han Guangrong's home to arrest her. Since Ms. Han was not home their attempt failed again.
However, these persecutors did not give up. They assigned people from the community to monitor Ms. Han's family and brought in an agent from the National Security Division. He followed Ms. Han's husband Mr. Xiong wherever he went, while two cars from the National Security Division followed and harassed Ms. Han's daughter. They followed her to her workplace. Then the Deputy Head of the National Security Division Du Weijia went to her workplace to threaten her in an attempt to find her mother. He told her that if she did not tell them where her mother was, they would charge her with covering up a crime, have her fired or sentenced to a prison term. This terrified Ms. Han Guangrong's daughter so much that she did not dare go home that night.
On December 18, 2007, while Ms. Han Guangrong was shopping at the Honghuajie Market, she was taken away by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents in a black sedan. She is being held at Nanchong City Detention Center. That afternoon a man who identified himself as a policeman from the National Security Division forced Ms. Han's husband to open the door and then ransacked their home. They confiscated a portrait of the founder of Falun Dafa, Falun Dafa books and some personal items.
During the 8 years of the persecution of Falun Dafa, Ms. Han Guangrong has firmly upheld her belief in the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" and has kept clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to the local people. Ms. Han has been illegally imprisoned many times since the persecution began on July 20, 1999. She has been in detention for more than six years, including two years of forced labor and 15 days of detention and an illegal sentence of another four years. The 610 Office withheld Ms. Han's pension for 48 months, an amount totaling approximately 20,000 yuan. She was deprived of her "Retired Worker Uniform Retirement Pension Raise" in 2006. Ms. Han worked for 35 years, but her current retirement pension is only 490 yuan per month. That is 200 yuan less than other retirees with the same tenure.

Practitioner Mr. Li Shangshi Sends Article from Prison Describing His Persecution Experience
By Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Shangshi, who is currently being persecuted at the Fushun City Number Two Prison in Liaoning Province
(Clearwisdom.net) I have been subjected to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution, and I had to leave home to avoid further persecution. At around 5:00 p.m. on April 20, 2004, I left the home of my relative and rode a bicycle westwards along the North Levee of the Liao River to the home of another relative in Weijia Village, Panjin City, Liaoning Province. All of sudden, four young men jumped out from the levee and pushed me down. At first, I thought this was a robbery, but when I tried to escape, I saw an older man standing there giving directions to them. I realized that they were policemen, so I shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" Some of the policemen tried to cover my mouth, and some pulled my arms behind my back and forcibly handcuffed me. After that, they pushed me into a jeep with ease since there were almost no passersby around at that time. They took me to the Shuangtaizi District Police Department in Panjin City, dragged me up to the second floor, and slammed me down on the floor.
Twenty minutes later, police officer Wang Yunxiao, who was the person directing the arrest, came to me and said, "We have orders from the Liaoning Province Police Bureau to ask you some questions." Then they dragged me into the jeep and took me to the Panjin City Number Three Detention Center. There, the guard asked them for some paperwork. Wang Yunxiao answered, "We'll provide you with that later." Then, the police were allowed to put me into a small cell. Guard Zhang, who was in charge of the cell, said aloud to himself, "How could they accept him without any paperwork?"
At around 4:00 p.m. on the third day, policeman Lianjie, from the Political Security Team of the Panjin City Police Department, along with another young man, interrogated me. At first, they pretended to be friendly to me and when I refused to answer their questions about Falun Gong, they became angry and started beating me. They pulled my hair, slapped my face many times, punched me in the chest, and as a result, I fell to the ground. Lianjie did not stop until I started shouting and I was sent back to the cell.
The next day, the police department sent policeman Li Guohua and another young man to interrogate me. From the beginning to the end, I only said one sentence, "The Chinese government has never followed the law when dealing with Falun Gong. Therefore, I refuse to answer any questions." I wrote this on their interrogation notebook, and the police never came back to me after that. They made up some materials and handed them over to the Xinglong District Procuratorate.
After a while, the Xinglong District Procuratorate sent Procurator Pei Guangyan, who persecuted many Falun Gong practitioners in the past, to interrogate me, and he ended up leaving with no information from me.
The day before the Xinglong District Court's trial, the court sent two attorneys over to prepare a "defense argument" for me. I asked them, "Are you going to defend my innocence or defend me by saying that I am guilty?" One of them answered, "Of course we will be saying that you admit guilt." I asked, "Without any investigation, what makes you believe that I am guilty?" She said, "The government said that Falun Gong is guilty. So it's guilty."
The next day, right before the trial, I refused to use the attorneys and so during the trial, Procurator Pei Guangyan read his fabricated indictment. Then, Judge Ma Li started his questioning of me. I told the judge that the government's propaganda about Falun Gong were false. The judge saw that I was not cooperating and ordered the court policemen to take away my chair to force me to stand up. So, I sat in the audience seats, and then Ma Li had no choice but to order that my chair be returned. I was about to talk again, but Ma Li cut me off. He said, "Meng Jian (another Falun Gong practitioner) was sentenced to thirteen years in prison. You are her leader, so you should be sentenced to a longer term." Then he announced the adjournment of the court and did not give me a chance to talk. The next day, they sentenced me to a fourteen-year prison term.
Ms. Meng Jian was arrested in May 2003 and although we were both practitioners, we had never contacted each other. We knew about each other as fellow practitioners, but that was it. Also, there is no leader-follower relationship among practitioners; I was simply a volunteer assistant.
The court did not inform my relatives about the trial, nor did it send out any bulletins. During the trial, they had policeman Zhang Runqiu, who is from the Political Security Group in the police department, and a dozen other policemen sitting in as the audience.
In order to validate the Fa and not to comply with the police orders, I refused to wear the prisoner uniform or let them shave my head. When the inmates were sitting or when there were inspections by upper-level divisions, I slept, instead of sitting like the rest. The inmates were required to recite the prison's rules, and to have their pictures and fingerprints taken, but I refused. During the five months that I was in the detention center, I did the sitting exercise every morning except for the period when I was on a hunger strike.
On September 28, 2004, two Falun Gong practitioners from Huludao City in Liaoning Province and I were taken to the Fushun City Number Two Prison, also known as the Qingtaizi Prison. There are currently ten Falun Gong practitioners being tortured in the prison. One practitioner from Dalian City in Liaoning Province was "transformed," but the other nine did not give in. One practitioner shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" at the meetings with all of the inmates. Also, some practitioners did not comply when the guards during roll-call, some wrote articles to expose the CCP's evil, some wrote articles describing the miracles of cultivating in Falun Dafa, and some did the sitting exercises on a regular basis. All nine practitioners refused to participate in the forced labor, the tests, the political study (brainwashing), the recital of prison rules, getting their picture taken, and other activities.
As the practitioners continuously clarified the truth and exposed the wickedness of the CCP, some guards and many inmates developed a positive understanding of Dafa and treated Falun Gong practitioners kindly. They also understood that the CCP's propaganda against Falun Gong was false. Only a few guards continued the persecution against the practitioners. When practitioners had sufficient righteous thoughts, the evil was very weak. The most cherished moment I can recall was when an inmate started practicing Falun Gong after he understood the truth. When the guard asked him where he got Master's articles, he stayed calm and did not answer. Then, the guard just left.
Attached is the guards roster of the Fushun City Number Two Prison Fourth District:
Zou Jun: director of the district
Wei Chunguang: political instructor in charge of persecuting Falun Gong
Xie Tingbao: deputy director in charge of brainwashing practitioners
Sun Yuhua: guard
Liu Yan: deputy director in charge of labor
Li Hongchen: squadron lead
Li Changshui: squadron lead
Cong Dianwei: squadron lead, 86-413-6110683 (Office)
There are three Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in this district currently: Mr. Cui Jian from Shenyang City in Liaoning Province, Mr. Li Shangshi from Panjin City and Mr. Hu Yongli from Huludao City.

Persecution of Ms. Guo Fengyu in Guangdong Province for the Last Eight Years
(Clearwisdom.net) Since 2000, Ms. Guo Fengyu from Mei County, Mei City, Guangdong Province has been subjected to illegal arrest, detainment, forced labor camps and brainwashing sessions. The 61-year-old woman has been given injections with unknown drugs by officers led by Pan Zhipeng, Police Chief at the Chendong Police Station. Each year, the police have gone to her home 3-5 times to ransack it and intimidate her and her family.
In December 2000, Ms. Guo went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. She was stopped at a Guangzhou transfer station and detained in Guangzhou for 80 days. At the detention center, over 30 practitioners were dragged up to the second floor. Some practitioners' clothing were torn, and some had their hands injured. Ms. Guo's left hand was injured so badly that she could not lift it for more than a year.
Over 30 practitioners were locked in three rooms. Each room was about 5-7 square meters, including a toilet. The room was locked 24 hours a day. Every day, only two meals and drinking water were provided. No water was given for washing or brushing teeth. If the guards saw the practitioners doing the exercises, they would douse them with buckets of cold water. On freezing winter nights, the practitioners could only sit up the whole night since the concrete floor was so cold. The guards sprayed the practitioners with cold water seven times and took away their warm clothing. They only gave the practitioners a little bit of rice to eat. The practitioners went on hunger strike for six days to protest the inhumane treatment. Two practitioners continued the hunger strike for over 20 days to protest, and they were brutally forced fed. Twenty days later, those two practitioners were sent to a mental hospital to be persecuted further.
The local Chendong police station extorted more than 6,000 yuan from Ms. Guo, although 3,000 yuan was later returned. Later, while she was illegally detained at Sanshui Labor Camp, the local government authorities seized 4,000 yuan from her. For five months, her salary was stopped. They seized approximately 9,000 yuan from her in total.
On March 8, 2001, Chendong police station authorities extorted 6,000 yuan from Ms. Guo and then notified her family to take her back home. On the afternoon of March 9, Guo Fengyu's family members saw her and were shocked by her terrible condition. One policeman said to Ms. Guo, "We will release you if you give up practicing." When she refused, the police would not let her leave. After her family left, the police sent her to Fuda Detention Center.
The long-term torture led to physical problems for Ms. Guo. She agreed to be injected with glucose, but when they gave her the injection, she immediately started shaking and passed out. She never found out what they actually injected her with.
A month later, the detention center sent Ms. Guo to a brainwashing center. Two weeks later, they sent about 10 practitioners, including Ms. Guo, to Sanshui Labor Camp. The long-term torture made her very weak, and one day she lost consciousness in the workshop. After she was revived, the labor camp authorities tried to release her, but the local government officials refused to take her into their custody.
At the forced labor camp, Ms. Guo saw guards forcing practitioners out of their poses if they started to do the Falun Gong exercises. If practitioners refused to wear the labor camp uniform, they are denied food. The practitioners were surrounded by people monitoring them around the clock. One practitioner lost the ability to look after his daily needs, and was sent to a hospital every day. They covered him with a white cloth on the way in and out of the labor camp, and refused to release him on medical grounds.
At about 9 p.m. on May 16, 2006, Police Chief Pan Zhipeng and three policemen went to Yushui to arrest Ms. Guo. She was forced into a brainwashing center, where she suffered physical and mental torture.
As the police officers were arresting her, they threw her down to the ground. One twisted her right arm, another twisted her right foot, while a third pinned her down with both knees. Ms. Guo could not move and lost consciousness. They dragged her along the ground for several meters and then lifted her up. She was then forced into a car and sent to the Lao County Police Station.
On the second day after arriving at the brainwashing center, Ms. Guo could not get up. She had to lie down all day long and took no food or water. Head of the brainwashing center Hu verbally abused her, saying that she was holding a hunger strike. Former practitioners who had turned against Dafa at the brainwashing center continued to abuse her and subject her to brainwashing, in spite of her obviously poor health.
Ms. Guo's right knee was swollen so badly that she had great difficulty walking. She had to go to the bathroom slowly while holding on to the side of the bed. She could not squat down fully to use the bathroom. A month later, Ms. Guo's foot gradually recovered, but her overall health was failing and her life was in danger. The police authorities still did not release her right away, and forced her family to write a guarantee statement before they let her go.
