By a Dafa practitioner from Wuhan City, Hubei Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Lu Hai, a 13-year-old boy, had to live with his grandmother, Song Wenxiu, after his father, Lu Qiqi, and his mother, Li Shihong, were illegally arrested last year.
Then, on June 12, 2009, when Jiang'an District Court in Wuhan City, Hubei Province held an illegal trial for three Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Song Wenxiu wanted to be present. When she neared the courthouse, she was arrested by the Riot Division at the Jiang'an District Police Substation. She was later illegally detained in the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center in Jiang'an District.
Poor little Lu Hai now has to live all by himself. He has lost his dear grandmother, who fended for him. In Lu Hai's memory, there were few times when his whole family was ever together over the past ten years. His father, his mother, and even his grandmother were often arrested. There are many incurable wounds to his fragile heart.
A few days after his grandmother was arrested, officers from Danshuichi Police Station and agents from the Domestic Security Division of Jiang'an District Police Substation went again to his school. By means of deceit and threats, they interrogated Lu Hai and forced him to sign a document. They pressed his fingerprint on the written statement of his interrogation record.
Ms. Song Arrested and Home Ransacked in Broad Daylight
On March 31, 2009, after Ms. Song Wenxiu came downstairs from her apartment, she was captured by a crowd of plainclothes officers hiding outside her apartment building. They rushed at her and grabbed her, and covered her mouth with their hands, then forced her into a police wagon. At the same time, they took the key to her apartment from her pocket. The one with the key immediately rushed to her apartment upstairs and ransacked her home. He took cash, a laptop, a printer, and Dafa books. Ms. Song's apartment was a mess. That afternoon, when her daughter, Ms. Li Shihong, came home, she was also arrested by plainclothes officers hiding and waiting for her outside.
Those responsible for this case are the team leader, whose last name is Luo, from the Domestic Security Division of Jiang'an District Police Substation, and Wan Baozhu, an officer from Danshuichi Police Station. At around 6:00 p.m. that day, Ms. Song was released, but her daughter, Ms. Li Shihong, was illegally detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in Wuhan City. Again, Lu Hai had to live with his grandmother, Ms. Song, alone. When they cleaned up their home, they found that a lot of money (about 1,200 yuan) was missing. They had hoped to live on that money. No matter how they begged the police, the head of the police station didn't admit that they had taken the money. Ms. Li Shihong's arrest did away with the family's only source of income, since Ms. Li Shihong's husband, Mr. Lu Qiqi, was also illegally detained at a prison in Guangdong Province, which is more than 1,000 miles away from their home.
In order to find something to charge Ms. Li Shihong with, agents from the Domestic Security Division of Jiang'an District Police Substation, and a policeman with the last name of Li from the Danshuichi Police Station, visited Lu Hai's school. They didn't care that Lu Hai was taking the mid-term examination at the time, and they forced his teacher to bring him to her office. They interrogated him for two hours without a break. They wanted to know who his mother contacted and what his mother had done. Little Lu Hai couldn't bear this interrogation and made a phone call to his aunt when he went to the restroom. His aunt later helped him and took him home.
A Once-happy Family That Practiced Cultivation
Little Lu Hai had a happy family in those early years. His father and mother both cultivated Falun Gong. Since they followed the teachings of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, their health improved significantly, both physically and mentally, and they became virtuous people with high moral standards.
His father, Mr. Lu Qiqi, was a former state-registered engineer in the field of building design. He had a job with a high annual salary of more than 100,000 yuan. His boss also highly praised him. Lu Hai's mother, Ms. Li Shihong, is a nice person and treats others warmheartedly. People who know her all say that they can feel the compassion and selflessness of a Falun Gong practitioner from her behavior.
Ten Years of Tribulations
On July 20, 1999, the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Gong. Because Lu Hai's parents and grandmother didn't give up their belief in Falun Gong, they were repeatedly harassed, illegally arrested, detained, and sent to forced labor camps and even prisons.
In March 2000, CCP agents arrested Ms. Li and held her for five months. She was detained at the brainwashing center in the Huangpi District of Wuhan city. In late 2000, without a warrant, the authorities broke in and ransacked Ms. Li's home. She was then taken to the Qiaokou District Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City and later sent to an undisclosed forced labor camp for one year. During that time, her husband was taken by the authorities to the Sanatorium of the Wuhan City Police Department, the Wuhan City Second Detention Center, and the brainwashing center of Jiang'an District in Wuhan City. He was later forced to stay away from home to avoid capture.
At that time, Lu Hai was only four years old and had to stay with his grandmother. During the first half of 2002, Ms. Li was arrested and sent to the Baibuting Brainwashing Center, where she was brutally beaten to the point that she was near death. Her family took her home from the hospital.
In April 2004, Mr. Lu went missing. In September, the family received an anonymous call and learned that he was jailed in Shayang City, Hubei Province. He was then transferred to the brainwashing center in the Jiang'an District of Wuhan for one year. In October 2005, Mr. Lu was sent to the Hewan Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City. In December 2007, he was arrested again while distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in Shenzhen City, and sentenced to four years in prison by the Baoan District Court in Shenzhen City.
Actually, what little Lu Hai's family has experienced is only "the tip of the iceberg." It is one story among many that make up the huge tragedy that our nation is now suffering from. Since the CCP launched the inhumane persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, how many Falun Gong practitioners have suffered as a result of the unbelievably brutal persecution? How many happy families have been crushed during this evil persecution? The suffering of little Lu Hai's family clearly reflects the evil nature of the CCP, highlighting the disaster that our nation and our people as a whole are having to endure.
The evil persecution hasn't stopped and the evildoings continue. We hope all those who are righteous and compassionate will help stop the persecution and help the many good people in China who are being persecuted right now. Let the Chinese people get prepared to witness the bright future of the nation that is on its way.

Imprisoned and Tortured for Eight Years in Shanghai's Tilanqiao Prison, Mr. Jiang Yong Goes Missing Once Again (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Jiang Yong is 38 years old. In 2001, he was illegally sentenced to eight years by the CCP. He was detained in the Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai for eight years and subjected to various types of torture. Only a few months passed since Mr. Jiang Yong had returned home and then he went missing again on June 13, 2009. There is still no sign of him at the time of this report. This incident is related to the widespread arrests by the Shanghai authorities in advance of the World Expo. We ask that human rights organizations around the world pay close attention to this matter.

Shanghai City practitioner Mr. Jiang Yong
The following are the experiences of Mr. Jiang Yong over the past eight years.
In January 2001, Mr. Jiang was arrested by the Hunan Road Police Station in Xuhui District. It was winter and the police stripped off all of Mr. Jiang's clothes, poured cold water over him while turning on the air conditioner to blow cold wind at him, and they shocked him with electric batons. Mr. Jiang was interrogated in this way for approximately eight days.
Afterwards, Mr. Jiang was sentenced to eight years, and taken to the Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai. The guards tortured him in various inhumane ways. In May 2005, while in the Sixth Section of the prison, guard Shen Yanrong put Mr. Jiang in a room that was approximately 36 square feet in size for 24 hours straight. Mr. Jiang was also forced to sit on a very small stool with his arms behind his back without moving.
In 2007, Mr. Jiang Yong placed a letter in the jail examination mailbox, accusing the jail of lacking human rights. Guards Qian Haifeng and Cheng Yubiao used this incident to force Mr. Jiang into the Second Section's strict control ward. Because Mr. Jiang yelled "Falun Dafa is good!" the guards sealed his mouth with tape.
In the strict control ward, guard Guo Hai (former platoon leader of the ward specially formed to persecute Falun Gong practitioners) ordered other inmates to beat Mr. Jiang to the ground and handcuff his hands behind his back. His handcuffs were linked to a fixed hoop on the ground with a chain less than one inch in length. Mr. Jiang was unable to stand and could only sleep face down. Every day he would be kicked awake by guards after sleeping for only a few hours.
After returning to the Sixth Section, guard Ge Zunyang ordered other inmates to beat Mr. Jiang after he was found publicly practicing the exercises. His head was forced into the toilet, urine was splashed on the ground and his face was pressed against the ground in the urine. The jail inspector Sun Liming witnessed the beating of Mr. Jiang, but he walked away without saying a word.
When Mr. Jiang once again practiced the exercises, he was beaten again and choked. To protest the treatment, he took off his prison clothes and he was taken to the strict control ward again. Guard Wang Xibin ordered inmate Xie Xueping to beat and kick Mr. Jiang's chest. Xie stomped on Mr. Jiang with the heels of his shoes, handcuffed Mr. Jiang's hands behind his back and tied Mr. Jiang's feet with ropes used for death row inmates before execution. Wang Xibin applied the "gnaw the bone" torture device, making the corners of Mr. Jiang's mouth bleed and become bruised. Mr. Jiang went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, and he was taken to the prison hospital after his condition became critical.
Around the sixth year of imprisonment, Mr. Jiang's mother passed away in 2007, due to old age, poor health, and the longing for her son. At the time, Mr. Jiang was still in the strict control ward. The jail would not even let him see his mother one last time.
Around April 2008, Mr. Jiang was taken to the strict control ward once again after he went on a hunger strike. The strict control ward did not want to admit him, but the director of the jail's punishment division, Yang Changyuan, requested that they admit Mr. Jiang. The rules of the Tilanqiao Prison clearly states that a person who is tied to a bed and cannot take care of their own basic functions must be released after a week, allowed to clean and move the limbs before being tied again. However, in the strict control ward of the Second Section, Mr. Jiang was tied to a wooden board for four weeks due to the hunger strike. He was released only after his stomach began bleeding and he was taken to the Nanhui Prison Hospital in Shanghai for emergency treatment. Days after being released from the hospital, Mr. Jiang was taken to the prison's general hospital after his life became endangered due to gastric perforation.
In September 2008, The captain of the Second Ward in the Sixth Section, Ding Jun (ID: 3101595), Wu Leming (ID: 3101373) and other guards bound Mr. Jiang and forced him out of Nanhui Prison's general hospital. Mr. Jiang yelled "The CCP persecutes Falun Gong, the CCP is a evil cult!" Several guards shocked him with electric batons, and sealed his mouth with tape.
After returning to the Sixth Section, a total of six or seven people including the deputy captain Fan Zhenqun (ID: 3101368) and guard Xu Meng (ID: 3101395) shocked Mr. Jiang with electric batons at the same time. Fan Zhenqun personally shocked Mr. Jiang in various spots and said, "My electric treatment is better than the hospital treatment!" Due to the long periods of electric shocks and beatings, Mr. Jiang's mouth bled profusely, the flesh on his ear rotted and numerous places bled on his body. Even after such severe torture, Fan Zhenqun continued to tie Mr. Jiang to the wooden board so that he couldn't move. After long periods of shocks and being tied tightly, Mr. Jiang's legs became numb and he couldn't walk properly.

Mr. Li Hongkui Suffered Seven Years of Torture and Persecution During Two Illegal Jail Sentences
(Clerawisdom.net) Mr. Li Hongkui, an electrician from the Fangzheng Forestry Bureau of Heilongjiang Province, remained steadfast in practicing Falun Gong's (also known as Falun Dafa) Truth- Compassion-Forbearance and suffered brutal persecution in jail for the past seven years. He suffered both physical and mental torture. His wife and relatives also endured enormous pressure.
Mr. Li, 54 years old, began to practice Falun Dafa in 1996. After he began practicing Falun Gong, he required himself to follow the requirement of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance in all aspects of his life. In his work unit, he is a good worker. At home, he is a good father and husband. Dafa changed him into a man with virtue and good health.
Mr. Li Hongkui went to Beijing in February 2000 to appeal for Falun Gong. The police from Heilongjiang stationed in Beijing arrested him and sent him to their precinct in Beijing. There the police took turns interrogating him and did not allow him to go to sleep for 24 hours. The police tried to force him to give up his belief. They confiscated over 200 yuan and did not give him a receipt. They later handcuffed him, took him to Fangzheng Forestry Bureau and detained him in a solitary compartment in the detention center. He suffered all kinds of torture in the detention center. One day, guard Zhang Xueshan instigated six criminals to beat him and force him to give up his practice. He did not give in.
Guard Chen Quan ordered criminals to torture Mr. Li by forcing him to adopt the very painful "flying an airplane" posture for several hours. Once he was forced to "fly the airplane" for over four hours. He vomited blood. The criminals that were torturing him let him down since they were afraid that he might die. Because he was persistent in practicing Falun Dafa and refused to write a so-called guarantee statement to give up his practice, he was illegally sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp in March 2002. The police would not release him when his term expired and continued detaining him.
From February 2000 to May 2003, Mr. Li Hongkui was in the detention center at Fangzheng Forestry Bureau. He was forced to work over ten hours each day and often suffered beatings and verbal abuse. He protested several times with hunger strikes and suffered brutal forced-feeding. Guard Chen Quan and Liu Qibo beat him for over half an hour one night without any provocation.
May 2003, Mr. Li Hongkui escaped from the detention center and became homeless for over four months.
On May 20, 2004, Mr. Li Hongkui posted some Falun Gong banners in a park and was kidnapped by Sun Biwu and others from the national security team in Fanglin. Sun Biwu, Zhang Haicheng, and Li Changhai handcuffed Mr. Li Hongkui's hands to a steam-heating pipe. Each of them held an electric baton and forced him to tell them who he was working with. He did not say anything. They then would shock him repeatedly. Sun Biwu slapped his face and kicked him violently. Zhang Haicheng grabbed his hair and poured water into his mouth. These three men beat him madly from 10 p.m. on May 20 until noon the next day. His face and eyes turned black and his body was covered in black and blue. He sustained several fractures to his ribs. He felt great pain whenever he breathed. He suffered pain all over his body and his clothes were torn apart.
His wife went to see Jiang Feng, the secretary who was in charge and Sun Zhongjie, the head of the political and law committee in charge of persecuting Falun Gong, and staff members of the Procuratorate, to report her husband's beating. None of them admitted the beating and said that his wounds were from his resisting arrest.
He was then illegally sentenced to a four-year term and sent to Hulan Jail in Heilongjiang. In the training unit of Hulan Jail, the guard forced him to watch videos slandering Falun Gong and write a "guarantee letter" to give up his belief. He did not write and suffered punishment. The guard forced him to hold his hands on his back and bent his back 90 degrees and asked the criminals to watch him. He was not allowed to move at all. If he moved, the criminals would beat him up. Sometimes he had to keep that position for over three hours and he kept vomiting. At night, nine people slept on a 1.5-meter wide bed and he could hardly rest. Every day he had to peel garlic for 13 to 14 hours. If he did not finish his task, the guard would order criminals to beat him or verbally abuse him. After being persecuted for over five months at the training unit, he was transferred to No. 13 jail district and detained there. He was released in May 2008.
